Happy New Year tennis folks (and others of course, if there are any) :)

Getting very very excited to see Pot back in action, feel like a hyperactive child rather than a middle aged woman. He didn't make it to Brisbane so wasn't counting on Sydney but he's there. Look:

Have we really MrsV? Sorry - my dc are forever telling me I'm repeating myself, it's obviously true. Not so much as a single flake here. Although we did have hail earlier.

I can't be the only person in the whole world to like Andrew Castle can I? Should I seek medical advice?

I have to admit I like Andrew Castle's commentary much better than Mats Wilander's on Eurosport. I'd happily push Wilander off a cliff, he irritates me so much.

Well who would have thought the AC thing would take off. I like Mats Wilanders insight but how annoying it Eurosport (I know I'm lucky to be able to watch is Mrs V) but things are never on when they say they are so I set it to record Game Set & Mars (geddit!) but then find it already started earlier so just stops recording....I know it's a first world problem. Bit like BBC changing the channel in the middle...

The commentator I'd push under a bus is that Jonathan Overend (I tried to think of a funny remark then to do with his end being over but it's a bit late for all that I think). How ever did he get a job with his inane remarks and irritating voice?

I am on 'school closure' watch. If it's anything like last time, they will leave it to the last minute after several people have already gone in. There was more snow overnight.

I do have insider information at the dds's primary though- my mum runs the breakfast club. She's usually there for 7am. DD2 theoretically doesn't have to go in anyway, since it's nursery.
It's ds I'm worried about. He gets a bus at 7.20, he will probably get to school before they have decided to close it! That's if the buses are running.

I think all the grit was used up at the airportGrin

Damn. Primary is open. This means i have to go to school and the assembly.

The secondary are leaving it to the last possible minute- and now their website has crashedHmm.

I wanted to watch the tennis go back to bed .

Bad luck Raahh.

Switch your phone to silent, put some earphones in and monitor scores throughout assembly. Smile all the way through but don't exclaim out loud - if you do you can guarantee it will be during the prayer or something.

I was meant to be driving to Wales today. Luckily, er I mean unfortunately there's something wrong with my car - would be silly to risk such a long journey wouldn't it?! So, ds3 to doc at 8.50 and then tennis for me :)

I DO have sole rights muddled, when will you learn?
