On second thoughts no, not the Aran cardy, aaaargh....quick put the dvd back on......aah! That's better, Captain Stern Face Furrowed Brow Legs Akimbo Folded Arms is back in the room. And breathe.......

Onlygirljen · 15/01/2015 12:42

Right - survived an hour of presenting without making too much of a tit of myself, or reading ff instead of my notes. Couple of friendly faces in the audience, which helped!

RL Chris is no RPJ, I'm afraid! I've been told (by him) that he has been compared to Matt Damon, which I can actually see a little bit. Hopefully will have some entertainment in the form of his latest exploits - he has just been on holiday with a gf, which is quite frankly, a staggering level of commitment from him, so I expect some decent stories! Smile

onefor excellent news, good luck!

I've just read 5 Years On FF, it's very good

cjwoofwoof · 15/01/2015 14:13

I'm liking the ff Friends by jennyj90. Well written and leaves you wanting more

Rhubarb01 · 15/01/2015 14:15

Just popping in briefly to say hello. A little bit caught up with writing today and I have to work as well but its not anywhere near as exciting as you lot - well not anymore! Although I think in the past it was more stress than exciting to be honest.

I can't help thinking the comments about vests under jumpers is definitely an age thing. I can't abide a cold draught in the winter or spring or autumn or even a cool summer's day. I do like a thermal layer or two! When I see skimpy dressing from youngsters these days I just shiver. I suppose my circulation isn't what it used to be - oh dear its all downhill from here on.

Well better dress warm because its pretty draughty outside today. brrrr!

orphan · 15/01/2015 14:18

What's this talk of vests? I don't mind helping CJ tuck his vest in, but draw the line at string vests. Do you think in his one man cabaret show that he throws open his ostrich cape to reveal a string vest leotard? Could be horribly fascinating.

orphan · 15/01/2015 14:20

onlygirl do you mind if I still imagine RL Chris as an RPJ lookalike, as I'm not keen on Matt Damon?Smile

Ilovelblue · 15/01/2015 14:39

orphan I had to Google Matt Damon to remind myself what he looks like. (I'm pretty rubbish at celebrity stuff on the whole). Must admit, like you, I am still going to imagine RL Chris and the ff Chris as RPJ.

Rhubarb01 · 15/01/2015 14:52

orphan definitely no to the string vest scenario. There is no thermal value in a string vest whatsoever. I'm sure BA would never be that stupid. Actually what are string vest for anyway? If you are hot why would you add to the layers by wearing a holey vest on your skin and if you are cold why would you wear a vest with holes in?

I'm not supposed to be doing this. Time to leave again.

Rhubarb01 · 15/01/2015 14:54

Oooh just a bit confused. Who was doing the one man show with ostrich feathers etc? Have I confused the whole CJ/BA/AN situation? Well, whoever it was definitely NO string vest.

cjwoofwoof · 15/01/2015 15:07

Yes orphan I believe the string vest is revealed from under the emu kaftan during the finale of BAs one-man Caberet show, when he sings "it's raining men". Lots of scantily clad male dancers dressed in matching string vests and feathery codpieces pick him up and parade him aloft, revealing a very nice chunky thigh in fishnets and black stilettos as he leaves the stage, with the audience baying for more. Thank God CJ is more of a fireside naked wrestling kind of guy Grin

pixieg1rl · 15/01/2015 15:10

It's cold and ever so windy here. I've just spent an hour and a half snuggled under the goose down with a young BA (watching First Light - there's a plus side to being off work sick).

cherin · 15/01/2015 15:11

Blimey wolfwolf you have a future in the west end as director of the choreography!!

Onlygirljen · 15/01/2015 15:24

Power outage at work due to storms! My resolve to focus on work has gone!

Nickel45 · 15/01/2015 15:29

Just popping in quickly to catch up (yeah, right! At work but not wary focused, sometimes I wonder how I still have a job!). Please don't tell me we now have BA in a string vest . . . Images of Rab c nesbit ... ik! Is this payback for ostrich feathers? Oh no, now have to work with that image in my head . . . (Just be grateful i didn't post a picture!!!)

Richtea19 · 15/01/2015 15:35

pixie the idea Of being poorly and snuggled under the duvet with BA/CJ sounDS wonderful! However, there is the being poorly and I am sure you still have everything to do, as in my experience when you're ill everyone at home still expects the jobs to be done!

rhubarb I do like a vest (not on men), I really feel the cold and hate having a cold back, I do like to tuck a vest in my jeans!

cjwoof wonderful imagination and choreography! Just don't want to picture BA/CJ being there... Naked wresting I reckon is more his bag, the Caberet could be with Morley and Beck???

Oneforthegirls · 15/01/2015 15:44

Icemist Where's the bloody paperclip for attaching photos? Can't see it anywhere.

Nickel45 · 15/01/2015 15:48

Onefor, if it's any help on my phone its under the box where you type the message, next to where the smile face is. Any good?

pixieg1rl · 15/01/2015 16:02

Being off sick has meant that I have had a chance to work on another ff that has been on the back burner for a month or so. I've just typed this sentence "Captain James knew exactly how to get more out of you than you thought you had." Unfortunately it's not in a QS context.....

cjwoofwoof · 15/01/2015 16:04

Sorry to scare you Richtea but have been racking my brains all day for a suitable use for that emu kaftan on a par with what we did with the dead badger cape yesterday, but thanks to Orphan and Cherins suggestions, the all-singing-all-dancing finale was all I could think of. It certainly doesn't conjure up any lustful thoughts on my part and is a definite "No from Me Simon". Hopefully it's now been consigned to that great Liberace concert in the sky along with Rab C Nesbitt's vest...

orphan · 15/01/2015 16:09

Hmmm, whilst CJ would must definitely not be seen in a string vest leotard, I'm not too sure about BA... I have a feeling that he wouldn't say no to the one man cabaret idea. cjwoof do you think his encore would be "All that Jazz" complete with jazz hands and sparkly bowler hats?

Oneforthegirls · 15/01/2015 16:17

Nickel I'm on a lap top at work. No sign of paperclip.

There are 3 lines under the comment box saying up to 6 images per day and BROWSE. Do I browse for the file then simply select it. When I preview the message, it doesn't show the photo. Do I assume it will auto post it ?

orphan · 15/01/2015 16:17

Alternatively, perhaps the emu cape is used for house work and dusting: he slips it on (naked underneath cos he's that type of guy) then rolls around the house like a huge feather duster. Job done. Clean house!
