I am just an avid reader so for me it was just normal to read the books first.
I have to say that up to now the show has been very very faithful to the books, although I have a feeling that may change in the new series.

I think I'm going to watch State of Play again. I loved it when it was on originally and have watched it since on LoveFilm.

I have just made myself a ginormous hot choc with squirty cream on the top. I realise that it isn't exactly cutting down on the sugar but it also isn't exactly a big bar of chocolate.

Just seen the trailer for Ep. 3!. Looks different to first 2 eps - less cosy perhaps? certainly all very dark.... difficult to tell from 2 minute clip though. Looking forward to Friday

Actually I'm liking the Friday screenings - seems shorter between Fridays than it does between Sundays, less time to wait ( how can that be?)

I am having a great time reading that Digital Spy forum. One of them is a complete wench.

^That new wig/hairpiece of hers though is too heavy for her delicate face and has got to go. And she can take Treville to the hairdressers with her whilst she's at it. Aramis gets a pass at the moment as his face lets him get away with his current 1970s level of hairiness. I imagine that 'that face' could let you get away with a lot.

Yes, dh worked on it. I suppose that's why I'm so interested in it really it's very close to home for me. Tbh I'm not into the sexy gif stuff....although it doesn't bother me, it's just not what interests me about the show. Maybe I'm just too old...it's a bit like when the latest boy band all look like your son's friends and you don't fancy them one bit! That's not to say they aren't very attractive , just not what draws me to the show, or this thread. I just wanted somewhere to discuss the series, chew the fat, blether - in a very low key sort of way. no fuss! :-) so if I'm treading on your toes, please say and I'll buzz off.

MlleElk dug out a story we'd not read in ages, 'stuck' by Oliver Jeffers. It's hilarious, and sent me off on a little fantasy of TB reading it for the cbeebies bedtime story
