Ooh Fancy I watched it when it was first on but see it is on Netfix now, so might watch that after Silk which I've just started, mostly just cos Maxine Peake.

comtess - I've read quite a lot on LiveJournal, but mostly in the war fandoms. There really are very few female characters there, so you get a lot of slash, some quite fluffy & others utterly filthy . My favourite fanfic/fanart is usually the humerous stuff though - the cast of Band of Brothers drawn as toddlers in daycare was a highlight!

I have it on DVD comtess, I loved it so much when first shown I just had to buy it! Silk? I like that too, although it makes me a little sad as RPJ plays such a cock.

milady toddler is a great boy, full of personality and so funny. But it does get frustrating and he needs a lot of mental stimulation. Agreed ww, when I saw the trailers for the first series I thought they were playing on the FAFness of the main actors (not that the main women characters aren't gorgeous too, but they weren't shown as much) which would appeal to women & gay men. I found the naked female bum baffling - wasted on most of the audience (unless they're trying to get more male viewers?) & it actually pissed me off unless the're going to even up the nudity tally.

No problem mouse! Mention of RA in that role, with his starched collar, striding around as the personification of repressed Victorian sexuality, is likely to induce confusion & forgetfulness.

Well, we know Tom's up for it, Fancy but nah, I don't think we'll see anyone. Santi said it would be sexier, but we're a fifth of the way through, and I see no evidence of it. One naked lady from behind hardly counts.

It was me that was watching N&S this afternoon. Think Fancy's spot on about all that restrained Victorian passion . Throw in an explosive declaration of love in a northern accent and phwoar.

I just kept thinking though how he'd look as a Musketeer. I do this all the time.

I'm looking forward big time to Ep 5. Santi said somewhere that's the one Aramis gets his naughty cheeky streak back. As great as that Dauphin storyline is, I hate to see him struggling so much.
