The Haunting of Radcliffe House-Anyone else watching?

DH says it's too predictable with the husband changing personality but I'm finding it quite jumpy. I've resorted to watching from behind the safety of a rather plump staffy and a cushion. The ad breaks are really winding me up though.

Is predictable but still scary especially when the woman walks past the door

perplexedpirate · 27/12/2014 22:43

I'm not feeling it, tbh. It seems like a bundle of haunted house cliches jammed together.
The blood thing is a bit grim, too.

MercuryRising · 27/12/2014 22:44

I am watching. Dp is out and I am beginning to get freaked out.

Showy · 27/12/2014 22:47

It's horribly contrived.

ThisFenceIsComfy · 27/12/2014 22:47

It's not bad. Not too scary

CeeloWeevil · 27/12/2014 22:48

It's very contrived but still very scary

ThePortlyPinUp · 27/12/2014 22:49

Some of it is definitely predictable, we knew that the man who visited would turn out to be the dead man. I'm finding the blood and the dad's sexual gratification from blood a bit hard to stomach. DH has completely given up watching it but it staying down here with me so that I don't have to watch it alone Xmas Blush

I keep feeling they really wanted Olivia Coleman for the lead.
Wink

ThePortlyPinUp · 27/12/2014 22:51

Definitely agree with Olivia Coleman!

The dad's fascination with blood is grim. The Woman in Black adverts are scaring me more I just nearly spilt my drink!

perplexedpirate · 27/12/2014 22:58

Too many different ghosts!
Confused

ThisFenceIsComfy · 27/12/2014 22:59

I don't like cellars

ThePortlyPinUp · 27/12/2014 23:01

I think I might have weed a little.

I gave up at 10.30. Didn't like the blood lust thing or change of personality of Dad. Not my sort of ghost story this. Was really looking forward to it too.

bottleofbeer · 27/12/2014 23:04

I can't get past one woman supposedly restoring a huge house, on her own, in six months?

ThePortlyPinUp · 27/12/2014 23:25

Argh I didn't like that ending!

OP posts:
Jollyphonics · 27/12/2014 23:27

What was that ending all about? I missed the early parts, so what's the significance of the knuckle cracking and the ring, and the Dad saying "I love you petal"?

TheCritic · 27/12/2014 23:28

This is honestly one of the worst films I have ever seen. The budget of the film can't have been over £10,000. Terrible acting and SFX which could've been done by a child. Not in the slightest bit scary aswell as having a very weak and predictable plot filled with clichés. A very poor attempt of a chilling motion picture. 8/100.

bevelino · 27/12/2014 23:30

I am watching on catch up and it is totally scaaary!

Jollyphonics · 27/12/2014 23:30

Well it certainly scared me!

perplexedpirate · 27/12/2014 23:31

Terrible. I'm very disappointed.

MercuryRising · 27/12/2014 23:32

It definitely has me freaked outShock

MrsClaireU · 27/12/2014 23:32

The knuckle cracking was what the ghost Isabella did and 'petal' is what Radcliffe called Isabella.
I'm confused of who the artist 'Walker' is though? x

Jollyphonics · 27/12/2014 23:33

Can anyone explain the ending to me? Are the parents still posessed?

MrsClaireU · 27/12/2014 23:35

Yes parents are both haunted by Isabella and Radcliffe.
I'm just confused as to who 'Walker' was lol Confused
