The Haunting of Radcliffe House-Anyone else watching?

DH says it's too predictable with the husband changing personality but I'm finding it quite jumpy. I've resorted to watching from behind the safety of a rather plump staffy and a cushion. The ad breaks are really winding me up though.

Presumably drinking the potion and the blood dripping on her face was enough to possess her. She absorbed the blood didn't she? No clue why any of it happened.

Blondes, scary films are subjective. Radcliffe is shooting for what Remember Me achieved. Atmospheric, gothic horror. I like gothic horror though not because I find it scary. It is clever and well paced and beautiful if done well. All slasher, killer stuff I find dull. So maybe it's not your sort of thing. Watch half an hour. Easily enough to know if it's for you.

I enjoyed it. Nice and atmospheric for the season.

Blondes, why the heck didn't you give up after half an hour? I wish I bloody had. If I'd read the comments on here and endured the first half an hour, I'd have definitely given up. Glad you got the Walker/Radcliffe thing cleared up though. Any idea why she (ghost Isabella) wore different items of clothing at different times and exactly whether she was a malevolent ghost? Or what the ritual was in the first place? And why?

What sort of scary films do you like?

Iamblossom · 29/12/2014 21:52

What channel is it on?

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/12/2014 22:19

Christ knows snowy guess I thought it would get better :(

Plus Dp had the remote and was snoring on sofa and I couldn't be arsed to move for the final 45 mins Grin

I just like good thrillers. Gory and a story to them. Saw a film A while back about a doll that kinda processed people and it freaked me out. Rare for me !!!!

Showy · 29/12/2014 22:52

Same here, almost nothing scares me. The only two films which vaguely unsettle me these days are The Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenenenenenenggenener and The Hunger Games trilogy. Because they seem to be documentaries.

It was on Channel 5...
