Anna and Bates make my skin crawl. I wish they'd pop their clogs. I really cannot see why Fellowes writes the whole thing around them. Dull, dull, dull.

I liked the tying up of all the many loose ends... Good show. Glad no deaths though. Had enough of unhappiness.

Having said that, can they do something about Mary's many suitors?? They all look so alike!! Or at least dress them differently. I thought Edith might hit it off with the one she hung out with. She deserves some happiness, although perhaps it was her father's forgiveness that is her dose of happiness this episode!

I KNEW it - Carson and Hughes are getting married!!! I feel happier than I should be, given that its only a TV drama

Clooney was in the Text Santa Special show last week. He also cropped up in a dress in 'White Christmas' this afternoon, I thought, but that was actually his Aunt Rosemary.

Ah, lovely feel good telly- land where nothing bad happens ( for long anyway), nice to finish a lovely day with some escapism and a new series promised.....

What is the point of Anna and Bates? She is a decent actress but he is dreadful- no depth or subtlety at all. The storylne is rubbish and completely unbelievable. How many times is this man going to be charged with, serve times for, confess to or be questioned about crimes he did not commit. Just pointless twaddle that sits outside of evey other aspect of the series now.

Loved Thomas's bitchy line to Mr Bates at the start.

On the plus side- beautiful clothes, lovely Alnwick Castle, a few good lines and some decent set pieces- better than last year's. That bloke looks like he could give Lady Mary a run for her money.
