Or google.

I might not watch tonight as I've got to sew some tacky Christmas pyjamas, but here's a thread for you all to enjoy.

He was so unfair in regards to the skeleton, it met the requirements fgs!!

BringMeTea · 05/12/2014 01:16

Totally agree with everyone! I thought Suralan was not a bad cove. He has proven himself to be an insecure, vindictive arsehole. Felipe was indeed set up. No lawyer will ever be handed any of his money. I think that's why he was happy to get rid of Lauren so unfairly too.

Mark the embryonic shark. Such a good analogy.

fascicle · 05/12/2014 09:32

AS overreacted about the skeleton. Felipe wasn't trying to con anyone - he genuinely thought it fitted the brief.

That said, the skeleton was a kit and not yet a skeleton. Anyone who fancies one should know that they take a very long time to assemble. We were given the same kit years ago - from recollection it was assembled over several days and took hours and hours to finish.

Fixerupperz · 05/12/2014 10:48

Maybe he would have gotten away with it if they'd attempted to assemble it. Felipe, what a nice guy Smile

areyoutheregoditsmemargaret · 05/12/2014 11:34

Late to the party, but imo Felipe was the only contestant in 10 years to show real originality and intelligence. Far too intimidating for Sir Alan. Extraordinary to fire him and then to have gone all misty-eyed about criminal James last week

mausmaus · 05/12/2014 13:26

stupid question, but what is the difference between a lawyer and a solicitor? just had lunchbreak snoop on the bbc website

squoosh · 05/12/2014 13:28

Solicitors give legal advice but don't appear in court whereas lawyers do (if they're barristers).

Lawyer is more of a catch all term.

I think.

mausmaus · 05/12/2014 13:33

ah, thanks

areyoutheregoditsmemargaret · 05/12/2014 13:45

Lawyers can be both solicitors and barristers, it's the umbrella term for the two branches of the professions

areyoubeingserviced · 05/12/2014 22:15

Definitely think that Felipe was robbed.
I agree that Lord Sugar has a chip on his shoulder because of his lack of education. He has always despised lawyers and thus always gets rather shirty with them. I think that they make him feel stupid.
The irony is that LS is one of the most successful businessmen in Britain and sits in the House if Lords
ffs.

dillite · 07/12/2014 08:14

I was watching Gogglebox and everyone there was shouting at Suralan agreeing with us saying that it was a skeleton.

Who do u think will win versus who you want to win?

I think Soloman will win (IT background with prob an IT business plan).

I'd like to see Daniel win just to see the other contestants faces when they have to help him in the final!

fascicle · 07/12/2014 16:33

I think it will very much depend on viability and money making potential of business plans. Plus whether there any howlers/outright fibs in their cvs. That said, I think Katie and Roisin seem like strong candidates at this stage.

Rivercam · 07/12/2014 22:41

Fascicles - I agree with you. I suspect that Lord A fired candidates earlier in the process because he didn't like their business plans - some of the reasons for firing seemed a bit feeble. He must like Daniel's plan because he is keeping Daniel in.

Do you think the business partner candidates are different to the earlier Apprentice candidates. I think they are more single minded and less team orientated. I know it's a competition but they somehow seem different and don't work so well with each other. I guess you have to be single minded to run a business.

itispronouncedpenguin · 07/12/2014 23:12

This is why the current format doesn't work. So many times have mediocre candidates that are kept in shown to have good business plans and vice versa. We're not being shown the whole picture till very late on.

Still think Daniel is still in because hes a tosser from the Siralan mould though.

Fixerupperz · 08/12/2014 00:24

I think rosjine is a possible wimner, Daniels like a child haha Grin.

Icimoi · 08/12/2014 08:33

In previous series the contestants seem to have acted more as a team during the tasks, reserving their criticisms of each other till they know they've lost. This lot seem to start stabbing each other in the back before they've even started the tasks.

fascicle · 08/12/2014 10:50

It would be interesting to have an insight into the selection process for candidates appearing on the show. Do Alan Sugar's people get involved, or is it left to the production team? In terms of good business potential and entertaining television potential, where does the balance lie? Sarah seemed to have no obvious business potential, with only an aptitude for rubbing people up the wrong way, but her awfulness arguably made good television (in a pantomime villain sort of way).

A factor which might encourage the backstabbing to some extent, is that putting up a fight in the boardroom sometimes seems to save necks, regardless of poor task performance. AS likes people with a bit of fight in them. He criticised Roisin the other week because he hadn't heard much from her. Possibly because she'd been on the winning team a number of times and hadn't had to get shouty to 'remain in the process'. Really, there doesn't seem to be much emphasis on team skills and supporting each other, either from AS or the candidates themselves. And when the candidates do declare their backing for the team/team leader, it's usually an omen that the knives are coming.

Bowchickawowow · 08/12/2014 14:19

Based on their LinkedIn profiles, I am going to make a prediction that it is between Roisin and Daniel in te final.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 08/12/2014 18:54

Katie has not been on the school run all last week. Oooooooo.

ChippingInAutumnLover · 09/12/2014 09:48

Can we please stop with the spoilers :(

ChippingInAutumnLover · 09/12/2014 09:54

Fascicle, yes, I think one of them should have pointed that out ( that he'd nit heard much from them because they hadn't spent every week in the boardroom due to being on the winning team!!).

Ps I didn't mean don't speculate, that's half the fun, just please don't spoil it with stuff from other places giving it away, iyswim!?

ChippingInAutumnLover · 09/12/2014 09:55

I think it's far too close to Christmas this year. Have you seen the episode schedule?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 09/12/2014 19:00

Haven't given anything away ?

ChippingInAutumnLover · 09/12/2014 23:04

Ken - LinkedIn profiles and school run stuff... it just seemed to be heading down that road and I'd be really irritated if I knew now who had won. Tis OK though, if people want to post stuff like that, I'll stop posting on the thread, no problem... (truly no problem), but can we do tomorrow nights thread first Xmas Grin
