it is supposed to be a reserve to pay wages etc. which (on another thread) was suggested was the sensible and expected thing for such a large organisation to do.

morethanacondiment · 14/11/2014 22:03

Why is the singer from The Script wearing a breastfeeding top? Confused

BerniceBroadside · 14/11/2014 22:03

Is it true that Terry gets paid an obscene amount for presenting CIN? I'd always assumed that he did it for free, but according to people at work he's paid an absolute fortune.

Jungfraujoch · 14/11/2014 22:04

Ooh Donny!

bambinibop · 14/11/2014 22:07

Who are Shane riches sons band then? Bit confused!

MintChocAddict · 14/11/2014 22:07

Liked Perfect Moment by Martine 'Tiff' McCutcheon playing in the background of Eastenders sketch. Grin

Hulababy · 14/11/2014 22:14

This gets brought up every year. The fee for children in need is part of his general contract with the BBC I believe. It was back in 2009 or so when it came to attention and was worked out at about £1200 per hour of the show - however since this was made known TW did come out and state that he was unaware of this - probably never itemised I guess but who knows and since then he has deliberately and explicitly waived this fee and therefore receives no wage.

Who knows the full story but it would seem that at least for the last 5 years he has not been paid for this work.

bambinibop · 14/11/2014 22:16

I've got to go to bed I'm so tired! I'm going to miss s club 7! Sad

PoppyWearer · 14/11/2014 22:21

Just to get this cleared up.

Children In Need = BBC charity

Daily Mail's Mission = Destroy BBC

Therefore: Daily Mail prints shit about Children In Need to discredit and bring about the downfall of the BBC.

[lightbulb]

PoppyWearer · 14/11/2014 22:23

Poppy Maths/logic part deux:

But if: Daily Mail = a pile of untrue wank (allegedly)

And maybe: BBC = on-the-whole-not-a-bad-thing

Then possibly: Children In Need = Lots of cash for good causes?
