Hello. I've not watched much tennis this year at all. My children prefer cBeebies. I hope to educate them in time for next year.

I did just watch the Murray match. Is it me or were Macenroe and Henman pretty useless with the commentating today? Is it first day nerves? And is it just me or does Sue Barker always come across as this smug? I always quite liked her, despite her lack of judgement in men Cliff

DramaAlpaca · 23/06/2014 15:29

Samantha Stosur has gone out in the first round as well.

Glad Ernie is through Smile

How nice to have your DD home Juan.

Can't wait to get home from work so I can watch tennis instead of following it on the Slam Tracker.

Mama1980 · 23/06/2014 15:42

I did think of pot as we used them but have to say it was more I couldn't find the paintbrushes......Blush
Where will your dd be going back to? Enjoy having her home.
Wow Harrison really fell away during that tie break. Do like Grigor though.

Raahh · 23/06/2014 15:45

Had to go to pick up the dcs.

Lovely news about your daughter juan !

I though this match with Dimitrov would be close, but I don't want it to be this close.

For some reason, I cannot get the Wimbledon app to work when i am out. This is annoyng, as I din't really want to listen to the radio. Virginia Wadw was on. I cannot stand listening to her.

I have a meeting after school tomorrow. I'm hoping I don't miss any of Rafa'a match because of it (hopefully it will be on late-ish).

And i think the commentary in general so far is rubbish.

I am starting to miss Jim Courier and his rambling discussions during RGGrin

Got to say, Dimitrov has my second favourite coach (after Stefan, obviouslyGrin).

Interesting to see how Djok does. I'm warming to him lately. Think it's the baby thing.Grin I'm ridiculously broody. Can't have any more babiesSad

Still debating getting guinea pigs. Dh wants a dogHmm

So pleased to hear about your DD, Pesky.

Guinea pigs are not really a substitute for a lovely baby - they don't do much other than shit & eat.

Am enjoying watching Grigor & looking forward to seeing Djok.

Oh, this is one of the best days of the year - the whole of Wimbledon lies ahead.

Raahh · 23/06/2014 16:33

magi- i knowGrin

Baghdatis beat Dustin- funny, isn't it, when Dustin beat Rafa, the media were acting like he was suddenly going to conquer the world. Then he loses to Marcos, who is up and down in his consistency at best (but i do like watching him).

Raahh · 23/06/2014 17:24

Fognini is in a bit of trouble, not really surprising since he's better on clay.

Djok showing off his very bendy ankles, i see. Grin

I am feeling very sorry for Golubev.

OP posts:
Raahh · 23/06/2014 17:51

Aww, he got a game.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 23/06/2014 17:53

I'm here. Just got in from work. Pimms and strawberries ready to go.

Poor Golubev. At least he got a game.

Raahh · 23/06/2014 17:57

ooh- Dogs is playing- come on Dogs!

I am pretending to have strawberries and Pimms. I actually have peppermint tea and rich tea biscuitsGrin

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 23/06/2014 18:08

Well now I'm conflicted, Djok or Dogsbollocks.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 23/06/2014 18:09

Just seen that Tomic wn. Was his Dad there? Did he get a mention.

Raahh · 23/06/2014 18:17

Grin I'm not sure whether they mention Tomic's dad. I'm not sure he's very importantGrin

Dogs may be serving for the set- can't find him on my red buttonAngry

OP posts:
Raahh · 23/06/2014 18:18

Bless Golubev, for trying to make a match of it.

OP posts:
ElephantsNeverForgive · 23/06/2014 18:31

Pimms is an excellent idea! DD1 needs collecting for the next three evenings, but not tonight.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 23/06/2014 18:39

They might have mentioned him once last year Raahh, but I can't remember.

You can't really have Wimbledon without Pimms Elephants. BTW, I wouldn't worry about only talking tennis on this thread. We've never managed it.

Raahh · 23/06/2014 18:43

Oh no- if we only talked tennis, we'd probably give up. Unsuitable crushes is always a good topic. Grin
