C'mon Dogs !

I did think his name was Doglopov, cos of you lot.

Only realised recently it is Dolgopolov or whatever !

Raahh · 25/06/2014 15:01

I feel a bit bad we nicknamed him Dogsbollocks- but it was because he was playing Ferrer and doing quite wellGrin. But it has stuck now. Tennis

I thought that re the £43,000 but then they have to pay their travel expenses and coach, trainer, etc out of their earnings, don't they?

This Dimitrov match is another one-sided one. Roll on next week when the matches become a bit more exciting.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 15:02

This is getting a bit messyConfused

Ferrer is on Court 2 now. Tsonga to follow.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 15:05

Everard- it's true, there isn't much money in the sport for the players that effectively make up the numbers, the smaller tournaments pay hardly anything. But you've stlll got to pay expenses to get to them. Getting into Wimbledon must be amazing for them.

Week 2 is always good. Men's semi day is a great, long day. But week 1 is also exciting(ish) now because there is potential for upsets.

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 15:08

My mutt has just decided to go nuts.

Having a total loony moment !

Well it is warm and she is very fluffy !

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 25/06/2014 15:12

Grin MrsVamos - or should I call you MrsLet'sGo? Grin

Ferrer followed by Tsonga - sounds like a pretty good afternoon (whether or not tennis is involved...)!

Am I right in thinking it'll be Murray-Dimitrov in the quarters assuming they both get through? That would be good to see...I wouldn't mind in the least if Dimitrov won...

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 15:16

bwc

Call me what you like, I answer to anything ! Grin

You dirty girl ! Like your thinking !

Raahh will be able to tell you - O haven't looked that far ahead yet !

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 15:17

Mnetting on phone is annoying, I can only have 1 page open at a time. Grrr.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 25/06/2014 15:18

Grin I would blame it on the pregnancy hormones, but actually I am just a bit of a letch Grin

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 15:18

I haven't looked that far...

you wouldn't believe I have tiny fingers would you ?

Raahh · 25/06/2014 15:19

Dimitrov could meet Murray, but he's got to beat Ferrer first, I think. Which is entirely possible- love Ferrer, he's brilliant, but maybe Dimitrov is more natural on grass? But Ferrer doesn't give in easily.

I haven't been pg for over 10 years . I am just a letch.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 15:21

This is a very different Grigor to the one who was moaning last year because the court was slippery (and subsequently lost).

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 15:22

Ferrer v Dimitrov very intriguing.

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 15:23

He's playing really well, isn't he ?

Growed up a bit.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 15:24

You know during Queens we said Andrew Castle fancied Grigor? Well, I think all the commentators doGrin

OP posts:
DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 25/06/2014 15:26

Don't worry, I have been letching for over half my life and have no intention of stopping any time soon Smile

Ferrer strikes me as not being a sure thing - maybe that's just because he's not one of the big four who always get through (well, nearly always...). I reckon Dimitrov definitely has a chance against him but ditto vice versa. That should be a good match whoever wins (although I'll probably be backing Ferrer over Dimitrov).

hugoagogo · 25/06/2014 15:26

and who could blame them, he is v cute. Smile

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 15:29

I think so too, Raahh.

All raving about his 'complete package'.

I think Maria has been talking...Wink

Ferrer always dangerous. He plays really good tennis and never gives up. It would have the makings of a great match, I think. Would be interesting to see experience v youth.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 15:32

Dogs appears to be letting the fourth set get away from him....

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 15:35

Ferrer 6 games all 1st set.

Kvitova nearly won.

Baghdatis losing 3rd set.

Grigi going well.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 25/06/2014 15:40

Oh dear, just googled Dimitrov (more letching...) and realised he was born in the 90s! I really am getting old...
