And I bet it will be a late pm match so we have to wait all day.

Then everyone will moan cos they wont get fed etc...

We will have to be here, mate. Don't think I can watch without you.

Or should I go out ? Worked yesterday ?!

Everard · 25/06/2014 14:23

I think the draw is decided on things like ranking and past performance in that tournament. I think it is purely luck that Andy has such an easy opponent today. I also think he has a tougher 2nd week in prospect than some. But maybe it all comes down to personal perspective depending on who you support?

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 14:24

Bugger, did she ?

Valiant effort.

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 14:25

I know, Everard.

Ignore me, I'm just whining and waffling ! Smile

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 25/06/2014 14:25

Just got back to my desk and seen on the BBC text updates that Moore is out - how disappointing! It looked for a while like she was going to make it through.

Oh well, onwards...how long until Jo-Willy? Smile

Raahh · 25/06/2014 14:28

I think the seedings are based on ranking, and Wimbledon uses it's own formula for grass performance, and they are placed in the draw first. But everyone else is random. Not sure whether they ever televise the Wimby draw, but i did see the RG one last year.

Rafa will beat Rosol, never fear. Im currently sat in the barber's with ds2 trying not to exclaim aloud my disappointment at Ernie going out. I can't believe he's done. I hope this loss and his early exit at Queens doesnt meam a return to his "don't really care" days.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 14:29

It's a bit odd that the Beeb are still showing the Moore match- even though it has finished Hmm

Raahh · 25/06/2014 14:31

Juan- maybe it's just a 'grass might not be my thing' feeling.

I had high hopes for him too

C'mon Dimitrov! Do it for the young guns

Baghdatis has lost his first set.

my day is not going well.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 14:33

I keep hearing Peter Kay talking about Rola Cola every time they mention this poor bloke.

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 14:34

Yy, Wimby is the only slam that arranges the seedings differently aren't they. There was a bit if a fuss in the meeja just before they were announced.

I think it may be being a long suffering Rafa fan that is making me stress, Juan. I have faith in him, I believe, but it is scary.

I am sure Ernie will be fine. He had a great run at RG. Perhaps we don't always appreciate just how physically knackering the game is these days.

Although saying that re Rafa I should shut up whinging, shouldn't I ?!

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 14:36

Nice early finish for Andy.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 14:37

I am VERY nervous re-Rafa. Even though he should win the match easily. I believe he will. But, like you, I don't want to listen to all the poxy stats about how many matches he's lost on grass, how fabulous Rosol was 2 years ago. And we will have to listen to that.

And they will probably talk about Murray too, just to really piss us off.

I don't see how they can really assess Murray- based on 2 matches against no-hopers.

Do you remember last year when MN called us all "over involved"? Or was it "over invested"? :)

Pot has put a video up on YouTube of the latest wrist rehabilitation exercises - I am so jealous of the physio who gets to hold his hand!

Raahh · 25/06/2014 14:40

Cheeky MN.

But I am overly involved/invested and UTTERLY OBSESSED.

And proud.

I like that he doesn't just 'yeah it was a breeze' very diplomatic. Grin

tbf most of the players are-if it was me I'd be sure to put my foot in it.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 14:44

Dimitrov has got the whole package to take over at the top, hasn't he? Fab coach, good looking, decent game.

Needs to ditch the girlfriend. Grin

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 14:44

Oh there have been some almighty rows in the past Juan.

It did get really nasty one year.

You just have to ignore the prats that comment just to cause trouble.

However.

I am over invested and involved. I get very emotional. I know that.

There's plenty of things I consider ridiculous I could comment about on here.I just don't cos lifes too short.

Much like Grand Slams ! Grin

Raahh · 25/06/2014 14:44

£43,000 for losing

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 14:46

Yep. That's the only thing that spoils Grigi. Taste in women.

Having a good match so far.

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 14:47

Feck, that much ?

Shit. I knew I was going wrong just watching.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 25/06/2014 14:47

I'm sure Rafa will win easily, but there is always the possibility...I agree the commentary is going to be sooo irritating, almost makes me glad I'm at work (and sneakily MNing, hmm...) so can't watch live.

Also agree re. Murray - if he had done anything but win easily in both his matches so far, it would have been a surprise - we'll just have to wait and see what happens when he gets some serious opposition.

Raahh · 25/06/2014 14:48

Dogs has just won the second set. C'mon Dogs!

MrsVamos · 25/06/2014 14:55

Hello breadwinecheese Grin

Don't ! You'll all lull me into a false sense of security.

Oh to think back to earlier years when we just knew he would win.

The commentating and comments also wont stop if Rafa does beat him. That's what is also aggravating.
Andy and Novak are expected to, Rafa is lucky. Angry

Given his form on grass I understand it, but I thought players were 'judged' on being the whole package ?

Why is Rafa slated for his lack of form on grass, yet Novak has lost 5 out of 6 Slam finals yet his 'form' is not questioned ?

God I can moan. Sorry. Blush
