X-posts with Juan. Hope your DH is OK. Worst timing ever.

I was a bit worried you might have ended up getting lynched after your Cilla Black thread. It was going unexpectedly wrong when I looked and I hadn't seen you since. Grin

Tennis Tennis

Although my heart belongs to Rafa, I do like Fed.

Only managed to see a bit of his match today, he played well.

I don't fancy Andy's chances, I still don't think he's ever going to quite match up to Rafa and Novak, who is preparing to be a Daddy ! Wonder if Rafa or Andy will be next ?

Looking forward to a lazy day full of tennis tomorrow.

VAMOS RAFA

By my reckoning he should be on court approx. 3-4pm. Yay !

(Good to know I'm not alone....)

I'm in the UK at the moment, in a lovely flat in Hampstead ... with a SKY SPORTS tv package.

Last year, I was painting window frames and skirting boards in SC. I vowed that I would watch Roland Garros 2014 with a wine glass in my hand rather than a paintbrush. Hey. Lookit me.

As this is our only week in London, I'm not sure how much screen time I can honestly justify. But it will be better than last year's experience, fer sher.

It was nice to know I could come and find you all, wherever I am!

threebats · 25/05/2014 21:52

Juan my matie! - I am really well - how are you? So sorry to hear about your hubby being in hspt again :( Hope all gets better soon...
I am in Waunarllwyth now, up a really quiet street where, if you fart, you cause mayhem with the noise!!
My course is done in a month - half term now so 3 weeks off completion... 3 weeks to be a fully qualified up holistic therapist.. Blimey - I am going onto the degree in Sept for 2/3 years just because I can and want to :)

I have missed you and muddled, pesky and muddled and potato and all that fun we had over last summer... I had to get my work done for a few months, no time for prancing about on here then I had to get moved and now all is settling down so I am back :)

threebats · 25/05/2014 21:56

Look at this lovely - look how big and lush she is now :)

BALLS PLEASE ! ROLAND GARROS, WIMBY, ETC....
Raahh · 25/05/2014 21:59

awwwww- threebats she's gorgeous. Can't believe it is nearly a year.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/05/2014 22:06

Aww. She is getting big. I can't believe how long it's been either.

threebats · 25/05/2014 22:08

I know - here we all are, back on the French and new names here too! I can't wait for the early summer of tennis to carry on now - old posters and new - looking forward to hanging out with you guys for the next month or so :)

JuanPotatoTwo · 25/05/2014 22:12

Hi Clay (I've just realised I still call you Clay, hope you don't mind), he's always ill at some inconvenient time, selfish man. Just joking obviously before anyone shouts at me. My Cilla thread got a bit unruly didn't it - I didn't really want to out and out bash her, I just wanted opinions as to why, being as unpopular as she seems to be, advertisers continue to use her.

Irene, I'm liking the sound of the lovely flat in Hampstead :) Where's SC? Don't worry about sightseeing - London will always be there whereas FO will be over in a fortnight

JuanPotatoTwo · 25/05/2014 22:17

Meant to say earlier by the way - MacenroeTheBoatAshore - love the name!

And three I can see her now - she's gorgeous, lovely and squidgy just like a baby ought to be!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/05/2014 22:20

Clay is fine. I prefer it, still getting used to Rafa even though it's been a while now.

I don't think it was you, it was the poster who turned up to randomly accuse you of woman bashing. Don't know how it ended up, being MN I'd guess it probably did get out of hand.

Irene I agree with Juan, London is't going anywhere. Just ignore it for now and take advantage of the SKY.

threebats · 25/05/2014 22:23

Female friends - no romance.... I've been far to busy for all that malarkey! But who knows now everything is settled down, eh? Never say never...
Waunblahblah as the kids call it as they can't spell it!! I had to leave the old house - I caught my landlady in there one day, she had been apparently letting herself in when I was out Shock regularly.... Not gonna lie - freaked out was an understatement... When I caught her in there, she went ballistic - nutter - like I was wrong for not going to college that day and coming home!? So she served me with notice to leave - not that I actually needed that to go, I was going after she was found stood in my front room - it took me all of 2 weeks to move out. Waunblahblah as it was the best house I saw, had the most reliable landlord and it is safe for cats, kids, me.... Its kind of nice here now we are all unpacked - literally only been here for 1 week and 1 day!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/05/2014 22:31
Shock
JuanPotatoTwo · 25/05/2014 22:34

Wow, weirdy landlady or what. That's so wrong. Waunarlwydd is nearer town for you isn't it? But not so close to college?

IreneR · 25/05/2014 22:36

Whoa, threebats -- what drama. And what a lovely baby! Hope it's all settling down for you now.

SC = South Carolina. Family and I have been in the UK since February, but we head home in July. We're on for six weeks of travel now, and happy to be in Hampstead for the week. (Off to France on Saturday, but not RG, alas.)

The weather forecast for the week ahead doesn't look great (although today was!); if it rains in London, does that usually mean lousy weather for Paris, too? Some time on the couch in front of the screen might not be the worst way to spend a week...

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/05/2014 22:38

No. They can have very different weather. Can be pouring with rain in one and glorious sunshine in the other.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/05/2014 22:39

Although having just checked the forcast for Paris, tomorrow, Thurs and Fri not looking good.

IreneR · 25/05/2014 22:46

I just figured out how to check what's on TV when.

Are you kidding me?! A whole DAY of tennis coverage, followed by Midsomer Murders?!! I LOVE it here.

I am never going home.

magimedi · 25/05/2014 22:48

Did you really enjoy Marion & Fabrice? And who ever ese it was???

M & F just kept on detracting from the tennis & M kept on giggling like a teenager.

I was not impressed by their commentary.

I turned the sound off after a biot & enjoyed the Tennis

magimedi · 25/05/2014 22:49

else not ese

FFS, MNHQ - when can we have a 2 minute edit?

JuanPotatoTwo · 25/05/2014 22:54

Yeah I did really enjoy the commentary you grumpy old so and so. Thought it made a refreshing change from the tennistv commentators. Mind you, giggling and irrelevancies are my style of commentary, I reckon me and Marion would make an awesome team.

threebats · 26/05/2014 08:20

Good morning.....
Gearing up for a day of Aromatherapy case study write ups and Tennis Tennis
Marion was a bit giggly, yes.... Although that was nice, better than a miserable sod in there :) And she was quietly spoken, that might have been my laptop though...
Its Djock today - got one word for you ladies BORIS

College is closer juan no more bloody tidal flooded road to fight across and the resulting mayhem in traffic! I can get to college in 10 mins from here :)

threebats · 26/05/2014 08:37

Best commentary of yesterday, by way, was when the chap (can't recall his name) said to Marion 'he's throwing everything but the kitchen sink at this...' And Marion is like: 'Huh???? The kitchen sink???? Wtf?' So funny - I just love the French and their accents and how they don't get our sayings, like we do not get theirs, not that they have strange ones like us I don't think?
And best post of the day thus far? Goes to Irene
*Are you kidding me?! A whole DAY of tennis coverage, followed by Midsomer Murders?!! I LOVE it here.

Loving life! Off for a shower and then gathering all I need to settle down and begin the day of Tennis

threebats · 26/05/2014 10:47

Rain....... sob.....
