Don't really like Raonic, possibly he is just in the zone of it all but he's always quite sharp with the ballboys and gals... Almost snapping his fingers for a towel or ball :( I know its prob because he's concentrating on his game but.... I'm on team Djok for this one.... And Boris, well, what can I say? Clearly I would favour his side :)

Raahh · 03/06/2014 16:33

First set to Ernie.

Raonic has thrown that set away at the end.

JuanPotatoTwo · 03/06/2014 16:38

I think it's less Gulbis being a sexist and more him being controversial. Today he's been saying his secret is a gluten FULL diet - Ernie being contrary. And, just at the moment, it doesn't look as if you're going to get your wish.

Raahh · 03/06/2014 16:47

Raonic has definitely got Djok running about- showing off his bendy anklesGrin

Raahh · 03/06/2014 16:58

Well, I was hoping Ernie would do well- but didn't expect this scoreline. Not watching, though, it could be closer than the scores show.

Raahh · 03/06/2014 17:20

Well, I'm pretty impressed by Raonic so far, he's not likely to win, but he's not given Djok much.

Mama1980 · 03/06/2014 17:21

Gulbis is playing great but not sure berdych has really turned up.

Raahh · 03/06/2014 17:28

Oh dear!

DramaAlpaca · 03/06/2014 17:34

Just had a surprise visit from a couple of friends bringing pressies and cards. I've got a beautiful orchid which I guarantee I'll kill within a week some beautiful pottery, perfume, a couple of bottles of champagne and a promise of a weekend in New York at some date yet to be arranged. So I'm feeling very spoiled & happy Smile

Djok has Raonic on the ropes now. Gullible going very well, also two sets up.

Raahh · 03/06/2014 17:46
Sad

We have missed Rafa's cakeSad

The commentators keep going on about the King of Spain abdicating, as though that is some omen to suggest Rafa will lose.

Idiots.

Raahh · 03/06/2014 17:46

Drama- your presents sound fabulousGrin

Raahh · 03/06/2014 17:54

And after all that, it looks like both matches will end at the same time!

Raahh · 03/06/2014 17:58

Well- Gulbis has it. Got to say, i expected it to be harder.

And I nay be a bit premature with the Raonic/Djok match...

Mama1980 · 03/06/2014 18:06

Well that was all rather an anti climax

Raahh · 03/06/2014 18:08

It was- what's the betting tomorrow's matches will be 5 set epics both on at the SAME BLOODY TIME Angry

JuanPotatoTwo · 03/06/2014 18:18

Is it just me or has the whole tournament been a bit lacklustre? Actually, there were some interesting matches in the first week (Bagnis for eg) but none of these latter stage matches have lived up to billing. Maybe it is just me and it's cos I'm missing Pot :(

JuanPotatoTwo · 03/06/2014 18:26

:) at Pioline telling Ernie he mustn't go out tonight and must stay focused.

Raahh · 03/06/2014 18:34

The weekend matches were good, but most of the first week was kind of flat. Biggest excitement was Wawrinka going out.

It's hard when your favourite player goes our early, or doesn't play. I did stop following stuff so much during Nadal's injury lay-off, and Wimbledon lost it's shine. But there was enough to keep me interested.

Mama1980 · 03/06/2014 18:34

Really bad scheduling, gonna have Eurosport on the iPad and itv on the tv Grin
I kinda agree Juan, certainly today's matches didn't am hoping tomorrow's will be great. Seems to be lacking tension really, so far even fed didn't really fight and djokovic, Murray, nadal etc haven't really been as tested as they might've expected

Raahh · 03/06/2014 18:37

Murray might argue with that Mama- Kohlshreiber came pretty close to knocking him out!

Mama1980 · 03/06/2014 18:43

Oops Forgot about that Grin didn't see that match. Maybe it's just my scheduling lol!

Raahh · 03/06/2014 18:45

Ferrer/Nadal match should be a close one.

slightly off-topic but anyone old enough to remember a group from the 60's called The Seekers? they were on a n old TOTP thing last night and I thought the female lead singer looked just like Mrs Federer!

trixymalixy · 03/06/2014 19:50

I keeping getting home just as the matches finish. It's really not the same looking at the slam tracker or whatever it's called. Here's hoping for some 5 setters!!

Raahh · 03/06/2014 19:54

The Seekers just makes me think of the new advert for the Sun , because it features a cover of 'I know I'll never find another you' . it doesn't sound quite right sung in a different key, by a blokeGrin
