Morning all, I hope you have a good day Irene. I think football riots count as culture, you haven't lived until you've been bundled out of a London pub on derby day! (born in Tottenham, spurs v arsenal day was hell growing up)

No tennis for me today either I'm off to meet my cousin for lunch we have 8 children between us so it's guaranteed to be a giggle. Will be refreshing scores on my new phone if I ever figure out how to work it.

I am being very nice, as the weather is pants, and letting the dcs watch tv. But only until the Nadal match, which could be soon. Jankovic seems to have got into her stride now.

Ferrer is playing, he's doing well so far- 2 sets up.

I will be happy for Nadal to win in 3 easy sets today. My nerves can't take anything stressful this early in the tournament. But I know Juan will be hoping Thiem puts up a fight. It's a shame they are meeting so early.

I actually really like him- he's played some great shots, but for the most part he's not adapting to how Rafa plays. But he has a break, he might get a set?

Fabrice is slagging off Dom's serve. TBF, it's not the best bit of his game. But then, Nadal has got this far in his career with a much weaker serve than most of the top players.

Dom needs to win at least one set so I can say "take that" in scathing fashion to Jim. Of course, if he wants to win more than one set I won't complain :) Realistically he has no hope of winning but this will be a fab experience for him.

Mama - 8 children! The thought of it is enough to set my head twanging - you are a better woman than I. Irene - you're doing culture rather than tennis? . I hope you're children appreciate the sacrifice you're making.

I'm glad you like him Raahh, I think he's a fine upstanding young man :) I read an article about his fitness regime - his work ethic is incredible - and he's seems very keen to learn and take on board criticism etc.

I'm still gutted Dogs through away the match yesterday after a 2 set lead. I think there are some good youngsters coming up- but they need to break through sooner= not wait til they are 29 to peak!
