Are we ready to vote for Sally for this?

Here are the songs

TEAM WILL:

JERMAIN JACKMAN
New song: Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus

Duet: TBC

Favourite song: I’m Telling You by Jennifer Hudson (original blind audition song)

TEAM TOM:

SALLY BARKER
New song: Both Sides, Now by Joni Mitchell

Duet: Malking In Memphis by Marc Cohn

Favourite song: Dear Darlin’ by Olly Murs (battle round song)

TEAM RICKY:

CHRISTINA MARIE
New song: Fix You by Coldplay

Duet: TBC

Favourite song: The Power Of Love by Gabrielle Aplin (battle round song)

TEAM KYLIE:

JAMIE JOHNSON
New song: Missing You by John Waite

Duet: There Must Be an Angel by Annie Lennox

Favourite song: Sex On Fire by Kings Of Leon (knockout round song)

Some strange choices- 'Missing you' is a song that reminds me of white wash denim and big hair (on men) in the 80's- I love it. But it's not one I'd have expected Jamie to do.

I HATE 'Fix You' Christina 'shouty' Marie

I really can't see Jermaine doing 'Wrecking Ball' , with his Sunday best bow tie. And he's doing 'And I'm telling you' again.

But Sally is doing Joni Mitchell, maybe an obvious choice, but perfect for Sally. I imagine 'Walking in Memphis' sounding good too. Wasn't that keen on @Dear Darlin' when she did it, she can actually enunciate properly, so it sounded a bi clipped.

So- fun starts at 7pm. I can't drink due to being quite ill, so will be on the peppermint tea.

Cheers Brew

That's better Jermain. Sing a proper song.

Christina is just a 'why sing one note when fifty will do'.

SauvignonBlanche · 05/04/2014 20:42

He's lovely!

LaurieFairyCake · 05/04/2014 20:43

Yes he's the winner

Sung all the way down from his purest soul

That was incredible

CalamitouslyWrong · 05/04/2014 20:43

Well jermain is all political. I think he's hoping to be britain's first black prime minister in about 20 years or so.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 05/04/2014 20:43

Beyond the dickheaderyness of will, he is actually quite sincere about the value of the arts in the community.

BOFtastic · 05/04/2014 20:43

Oh aye Blondie- she has been with him for years. Good on her, I say- she must be loaded; I hope she has had a string of handsome young lovers herself.

TroelsNextCampaignManager · 05/04/2014 20:44

Re Sally being bland - I get the feeling Sally is protecting herself iykwim? From not getting this, perhaps? She has such an amazing ability to put all her heart into the words she sings, but sometimes she either doesn't completely connect with the song or backs away from it a little. Dear darling is great but it feels like there is something missing emotionally.

CalamitouslyWrong · 05/04/2014 20:44

Tbh, he might have a better shot at becoming prime minister than ed milliband at this very moment. Grin

BigBoobiedBertha · 05/04/2014 20:45

Jermaine to win. Doubt he will but that whose got my votes. All in the hands of the great British public now.

Oh Dear.

Blondieminx · 05/04/2014 20:45

They live in LA; I hope she has enjoyed a troupe of hot gardeners etc Grin

I think bad song choices have cost Jermaine this but Sally just the winner by miles for me!

Blondieminx · 05/04/2014 20:45

Cal Grin

BOFtastic · 05/04/2014 20:46

I can't really get on board the cruise ship with Christina Marie; she's too shouty, and her name sounds more Butlins than the Nolan Sisters.

CalamitouslyWrong · 05/04/2014 20:46

I can't imagine sitting at home watching this and thinking, 'yes. I want to be on it next year'.

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 05/04/2014 20:46

They really do put Emma in some awful clothes.

SauvignonBlanche · 05/04/2014 20:47

Well jermain is all political. I think he's hoping to be britain's first black prime minister in about 20 years or so

10 years please! Grin

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 05/04/2014 20:47

I've got more chance than Ed.
So jermaine or sal? Dd thinks it's cm cos people are idiots.

CalamitouslyWrong · 05/04/2014 20:47

Do we need another judges recap?

BOFtastic · 05/04/2014 20:47

Cal, I think you're onto something there Grin

Raahh · 05/04/2014 20:47

I really want Sally to win, because she is good- and it wouldn't be out of sympathy, or a novelty. It would be down to talent.

Horsemad · 05/04/2014 20:49

I could imagine Jermain in a West End musical.

TroelsNextCampaignManager · 05/04/2014 20:49

Well, if CM does win we can all take comfort from the level of success and exposure enjoyed by Andrea since last year, and the winner of series 1 before her

Raahh · 05/04/2014 20:49

I haven't totally warmed to Kylie- but I haven't thought of the horror that was Jessie j for ages.

CalamitouslyWrong · 05/04/2014 20:50

I think in 10 years he'll not be long out of university and won't want the papers to do the 'career politician' criticism. In 20 years he can have done something else and then swoop in to seize the leadership of the Labour Party and make us all want to actually vote for them.

(It would be great if a non-white person beat him to it, but sadly that seems unlikely in British politics at the moment)

TossedSaladsAndScrambledEggs · 05/04/2014 20:51

These bits are painful

CalamitouslyWrong · 05/04/2014 20:51

Ricky is probably pissed. He's slurring and promising to rap.
