Tonight at 10pm. I will be watching with intrigue and gin. I can't imagine it.

Oh, it's abit OTT!

Sparklingbrook · 31/03/2014 22:14

Oh, I have turned over, too cringey for me.

Lighthousekeeping · 31/03/2014 22:16

It's too theatrical for me

I'm loving it, they just had a lovely segment on. Someone singing weetus' little respect while pics and statistics about aids and repression were shown.

Lighthousekeeping · 31/03/2014 22:29

It was Erasure. The original version I think? My gay friends have turned it off. I'm sticking with it.

itstheyearzero · 31/03/2014 22:30

Yes it was Andy Bell from Erasure,

Stinklebell · 31/03/2014 22:34

I'm loving it. It's fab!

TessTackle · 31/03/2014 22:35

Ha! How embarrassing! I'll just go

Lighthousekeeping · 31/03/2014 22:36

Oh, don't be embarrassed that some of us are old enough to remember the original!

OP posts:
TessTackle · 31/03/2014 22:37

Ok I'll stay then! I'm really enjoying this. I've always been so pro gay rights, it has to be watched!

Stinklebell · 31/03/2014 22:38

Grin I remember the original too.

Lighthousekeeping · 31/03/2014 22:40

I'm the biggest fag hag around but never been into musical theatre! It's very ott but I can't stop watching! Is it pre recorded?

OP posts:
Meglet · 31/03/2014 22:42

I can't see Erasure without thinking of the Trevor & Simon versions .

A lad I used to go to college with is there. Have the male choir been on yet, I think he's in that.

Devora · 31/03/2014 22:42

I'm quite enjoying it, though I didn't expect to. I'm a hardened old hag, but feeling quite emotional - watching those clips of the 80s, and remembering what it was like then, and how far we've come Smile

Lighthousekeeping · 31/03/2014 22:43

Yes. My mate was down Compton street the day of the bomb. I was frantic. It seems like yesterday.

Holy Christ, this is awful - musical theatre is my worst nightmare..

SnakeyMcBadass · 31/03/2014 22:45

I got a tear in my eye at the vows. They are clearly very much in love

itstheyearzero · 31/03/2014 22:46

Who is the pregnant lady in green? She looks familiar.

TessTackle · 31/03/2014 22:46

I sobbed at the vows!

Lighthousekeeping · 31/03/2014 22:49

My mates are all turning off in droves. Just the straight ones left!

OP posts:
Lighthousekeeping · 31/03/2014 22:51

The lady in green is probably a theatre singer. They are all. Good job they have the connections I can't imagine any of my family doing a turn!

OP posts:
itstheyearzero · 31/03/2014 22:53

My GBF says he wants to kill himself!

Lighthousekeeping · 31/03/2014 22:54

Yes, mine is being sick in a bag as we speak!
