I'm enjoying it and (and quite fancy Dougal Ballontyne or however you spell it) they were right about the chair tonight.

I'm finding it surprisly entertaining, but i think the woman is very harsh with lips like a cat's bum!

tallmummy · 10/08/2006 21:38

Have videoed it - I know this is ridiculous, but I am waiting to go into labour and thought I could watch it between contractions (yes, pg brain very addled).

Gizmo · 11/08/2006 10:19

Hey, Waswondering, do you mean concrete canvas?

I'm not sure, I think they're still looking for funding, although there's always a problem with finding funding for products which are largely aimed at crisis management in the developing world, IME.

NedKelly1978 · 11/08/2006 10:24

lio, I watched toy story or soemthign while in labour at 3am in the morning, while everyone else was in bed.

I was pmsl at bannatyne on that exercise armchair. I did feel a bit bad for the guy who made it, because it was obvious they were takign the piss, but it was soo funny!

I like Duncan Bannatyne too. Good looks, heaps of cash and a great sense of humour, what mroe could a girl want!

Lio · 11/08/2006 10:28

Still not in labour, may yet have to watch it under normal circumstances

Tutter · 11/08/2006 10:31

brimfull · 11/08/2006 10:32

NedKelly1978 · 11/08/2006 10:33

Poor bloke with the armchair gym, he was so sweet.
That lady with the jowls is frightening though

I love this and have a bit of a thing for Duncan B. He comes across as arrogant but 'dirrrty' iyswim. But who is that Aussie sunburnt

brimfull · 11/08/2006 11:08

Thought the down-to-earth truck-wash man last night was so clearly one of the best - knew his stuff, had tested the market and wasn't willing to be beaten down by them all. Also admire him chosing the 'right' partners in the end, rather than being swayed by the difference in equity stake. Good for him.

WideWebWitch · 11/08/2006 11:26

The picnic bag woman hadn't done any research had she? She should have been able to talk about the size of her potential market, what share she wanted, how she was going to grow her brand but no, she just wanted £10k profit after THREE years! I thought they said she'd worked in the City before, all I can say is er, as wot, exactly?

Oh shit! I missed it again. Must remember to set the video next week

Mo2 · 11/08/2006 11:29

Agree WWW - but I actually think she was daft not to accept scarey woman's offer, 'cos I bet then then product WOULD have been a success.... can see it now, being sold thru Lakeland, and all MNers getting all excited about it..

Gizmo · 11/08/2006 11:34

I agree, Mo2, car wash man passed my acid test for a pitch, which is: 'why on earth are you asking these guys for the money? This is such a cast iron proposition any bank would be happy to lend on it.' Knew his market backwards, had made money in it already, and importantly just came across as a really credible guy.

Had obviously spent time working out his negotiating position when the dragons started biting, too. Textbook stuff
