I can't believe they've got rid of the "Drumming with the Numtums" song, what are they thinking?!

Is the Numtum with a Zorro mask still in it? Dd will not be happy if they've gone.

1 2 3, 4 5 6, 7 8 9 10. DD seems to like it but I miss the songs :(

The numtum with the Zorro mask has gone too! I'm frigging bereft. Cbeebies have ruined everything! Won't anyone think of the children????

I haven't had the joy of seeing this yet but dh has and confidently predicted that this thread would be here! He is rather upset, possibly more so than dd.

Numtum in the Zorro mask has Captain Barnacles voice. Cpt B cannot be a Numtum, he's a Polar bear in tight trousers!

I'm just hanging out for the episode teenaged Jason M comes home with a couple of black eyes having being beaten up for being a dick. I don't normally condone violence, but that one is just inevitable.

DD (22mo) won't watch anything but smug Mickey Mouse and Numtums and she's obsessed with the songs.

Guess it will be YouTube Numtums until she gets bored with the same old episodes.

Can someone tell me what the words/names being called are? My ds seems to love this theme tune more than the previous, he wants me to sing it but i cant understand what they're saying, is it just me?

i am really annoyed. I felt the old numtums reinforced numbers and even though ds loves the theme he doesn't seem too interested in the actual content. Number jacks was definitely good. This is pants. Came on MN just to see if anyone else is annoyed. Oh dear.

Cattyness, you could watch it using the i player, and turn on subtitles. They've got some far out names (Humpty Do, Cousin Kakadoo , etc.), so I'm not surprised you couldn't follow!

It's awful :( and ds is really disappointed that the new Mr bloom doesn't have the veggies in it anymore, or the old songs. It's all gone a bit garden makeover with a younger Alan T. :(

It is totally shit, what were they thinking??? My ds loved the old version and was glued to the screen for the whole episode and did a bit of dancing to drumming with the numtums! I agree it really was catchy, simple and reinforced the order of numbers etc. The new one ds barely looks at the tv and just wanders off....
