I'm sure after the Christmas special they said a new series would be starting in the New Year. So where is it?? [impatient]

Shock
PickledMoomin · 09/02/2014 20:49

What sort of midwife says 'I think I'm more exhausted than you are?'

GW297 · 09/02/2014 20:49

Oh it's so sad. I could cry!

Sleepyhoglet · 09/02/2014 20:49

Love the Jewish pregnant lady's dress

OhBabyLilyMunster · 09/02/2014 20:55

Whatttttt!?

DameEdnasBridesmaid · 09/02/2014 20:56

Despite my moaning, I cry every week.

Selks · 09/02/2014 20:58

Me too! Blubbing every blooming week!

KnockMeDown · 09/02/2014 20:59

I'm in tears about the jewish lady's goodbye Sad

Ziggyzoom · 09/02/2014 20:59

Gareth Malone must have paid a visit!Grin

Selks · 09/02/2014 21:02

The Jewish lady was great.

LadyMaryLikesCake · 09/02/2014 21:02

I think the nun delivered a baby in the last series who died shortly after birth. She blamed herself so this would have been her first delivery alone since (IIRC).

It's Sad. I'm trying to hold the tears in.

EBearhug · 09/02/2014 21:03

OMG, that was all a bit tragic.

DMCWelshCakes · 09/02/2014 21:04

Anyone else got a headache from trying not to cry?

DameEdnasBridesmaid · 09/02/2014 21:05

Years are well and truly flowing now.

And now I've seen the trailer for next week! I'm crying already.

Am a complete wuss.

I cried watching Match of the Day once, because the goalie was on his debut and let 7 goals in. I was heart broke for him and his mum

figgypuddings · 09/02/2014 21:05
Sad
SweetestThing · 09/02/2014 21:05

I didn't try to hold the tears in; they just came. Wasn't expecting Alec to die.

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 09/02/2014 21:10

Oh lordy.. sorry to crash the thread but DH and I are both sat here in tears.
A friends husband died this week and we were doing really well until watching that.. I don't want to be mortal!

Pigeonpair1 · 09/02/2014 21:13

My husband died in May last year very suddenly and this was all very close to home for me. I even had the The Ave Verum Corpus (the song the choir sang) at his funeral. The one thing that resonated with me was what the Jewish lady said - "you have to keep on living until you feel alive again".

GW297 · 09/02/2014 21:13

What she said about carry on living until you come back to life was very poignant.

GW297 · 09/02/2014 21:14

So sorry for your respective losses; this episode must've been particularly hard for you to watch.

crypes · 09/02/2014 21:15

So I Spose Jenny Lee won't be in it again for a few episodes and a new midwife is taking over.

DMCWelshCakes · 09/02/2014 21:15

I held it together until Mrs Rubin walked out of the flat and then just howled. DH is no longer surprised to find me in tears on a Sunday evening but even he raised an eyebrow at the ferocity of this week's wailing.

Clawdy · 09/02/2014 21:15

Aw,that lovely old poem "Jenny Kissed Me"....not heard it for years.

DMCWelshCakes · 09/02/2014 21:16

Sorry for everyone's losses. I'm truly blessed to only be crying at people on the telly.

Cooroo · 09/02/2014 21:17

Crying here too!
