I'm sure after the Christmas special they said a new series would be starting in the New Year. So where is it?? [impatient]

DameEdnasBridesmaid · 19/01/2014 20:33

It's still the 50's

AmandinePoulain · 19/01/2014 20:34

My armchair diagnosis of those boys is cystic fibrosis Sad

wetaugust · 19/01/2014 20:34

Surprised then that sh put his sandwiches in a plastic? box. Surely they would have been put in a (used) paper bag - like mine were until about 1972?

southwest1 · 19/01/2014 20:35

Yep, I diagnosed cystic fibrosis straight away.

Janorisa · 19/01/2014 20:40

We had those striped sheets when we were young...

I have a teeny tiny crush on Jessica Raine.

AtYourCervix · 19/01/2014 20:41

I diagnosed those babies ages ago.

I love Sister Monica Joan. I aim to be just like her when I am 90.

AtYourCervix · 19/01/2014 20:42

I sobbed like a baby throughout the christmas one. I do enjoy it.

DameEdnasBridesmaid · 19/01/2014 20:43

Sister Bernadette is a bit wet isn't she? Can't really see what the doctor sees in her might be a bit jealous

AnneEyhtMeyer · 19/01/2014 20:46

Well done on the diagnosis everyone!

Sister Monica Joan is fabulous!

EirikurNoromaour · 19/01/2014 20:57

Miranda hart is actually a bloody good actor isn't she.

OodlesofOods · 19/01/2014 20:58

They do have some tiny babies on this.

OodlesofOods · 19/01/2014 20:59

Yes on MH, feel v sorry for Chummy in this.

Nyborg · 19/01/2014 20:59

Where can I buy sheets like those lovely striped flannel ones?

Selks · 19/01/2014 21:04

That was a good start to the new series - very enjoyable.
Anyone else spotted those ceiling lights in the community centre? They were amazing.

figgypuddings · 19/01/2014 21:05

The sandwich box was Tupperware which was introduced around 1948.

I am in floods...Chummy.

Selks · 19/01/2014 21:05

Sister Monica Joan is wonderful!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 19/01/2014 21:05

My granny had sheets like that.

Selks · 19/01/2014 21:06

I love Chummy too. It's got to be one of Miranda Hart's best roles.

OodlesofOods · 19/01/2014 21:08

That hall was lovely wasn't it,

My granny had sheets like that, AnneEhytMeyer and she gave them to me! They still get an outing from time to time on the spare bed (they're single sheets).

Made to last and v cosy.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 19/01/2014 21:16

Jim makes me want to vom.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 19/01/2014 21:17

Jim thinks it is the 70s again.

Potus · 19/01/2014 21:18

Which one's Jim?

wetaugust · 19/01/2014 21:18

Tupperware in 1948! Crumbs! It didn't reach our parts until the mid 1960s. Grin I can remember my mother getting her first box of it after going to a neighbour's Tupperware party.

I hated those sheets - brought back foul memories of a very unhappy childhood.
