Surprised then that sh put his sandwiches in a plastic? box. Surely they would have been put in a (used) paper bag - like mine were until about 1972?

The sandwich box was Tupperware which was introduced around 1948.

My granny had sheets like that, AnneEhytMeyer and she gave them to me! They still get an outing from time to time on the spare bed (they're single sheets).

Made to last and v cosy.

Tupperware in 1948! Crumbs! It didn't reach our parts until the mid 1960s. Grin I can remember my mother getting her first box of it after going to a neighbour's Tupperware party.

I hated those sheets - brought back foul memories of a very unhappy childhood.
