That was the best one ever. Wasn't the drugs something to do with Sherlock pressure point?

ExcuseTypos · 12/01/2014 22:07

Loved that.

I Knew Mariarty wasn't dead! I'm so glad he's coming backGrin

No, I thought John was Sherlock's pressure point, and Mary was John's, so Sherlock had to help Mary to keep her secret secret.
Or summat.

Emperor's New Clothes, I am thinking at this point tbh.

I think the whole 15yr old girl thing was just to set the main villian up.

This series:

You are dead. Unless you aren't.
Nothing exists. Its all in someone's head.
Sherlock loves Watson.
Lets be clever for the sake of being clever and not actually going anywhere as a story.
Filler, filler, filler.
Mary is an assassin as Watson is so damaged and seeks danger.
They get away with half of the bollocks cos so many women watching go "oooooo cumberbollocks I luuuurrrvveeee him" or failing that "Ohhh Andrew Scott" and bring him back to end the otherwise bollocks series and redeem the writers.

As you can tell

I-am-fucking-impressed.

That was much better. I thought last weeks was a bit drawn out and self indulgent but tonight's was just grand.
It's just a shame we will probably have to wait another two years for some more episodes. Sad

The baby? What was it all about?

Good summary, RedToothBrush - cannot say I disagree

The drugs were Sherlock creating a pressure point that he actually didn't care about in order to get to Appledore. I think. And he had to shoot CAM so that Mycroft didn't have to - protecting his older brother. Again, I think.

Brain hurty. But liked the gratuitous topless shots!

In short the series premise is, if you make it enough complicated shite people will go WTF thats brilliant.

I knew Moriarty wasn't dead! Just knew it.

Also knew Mary would seem bad but then be good/ok

I loved it. Loved that it didn't actually leave us on a nail-biting cliff-hanger - just a fab taster for next series. Love it. Love Benedict Grin

Not much actual deduction though, and that's the best bit for me - kind if the point of SH!

Was the Redbeard thing just about him having a dog that was put down?

I thought it was really obvious moriarty wouldn't be dead? Holmes and moriarty are like bread and butter.
I really really hate all the stupid imaginary conversations in his head. He wouldn't need to pretend Molly etc were there it's just very stupid.

I'm so glad Moriarty lives - although fuck knows how.

I was convinced Mary would die - she dies in the original Conan Doyle books, I believe. I love the references to the book - Janine's house on the Sussex Downs with the beehives is where the original Sherlock ends up.

Hmmmm. Well, wasn't actually Moriarty was it? Dunno really!

15 year old girl was just part of a pressure point of Mycrofts boss (I think she was)

Does anyone actually die when killed in this!!

You obviously don't like it, Nerfmother. I think we get that.

I loved it. I particularly enjoyed the way Steven Moffat took the Conan Doyle story Charles Augustus Milverton and twisted it. In that story Holmes went out with the cook or possibly the maid to find a way into the house. He broke in with Watson and found one of Milverton's blackmail victims in there already. I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read Conan Doyle's originals by saying what happens next. I thought it was a good re-working of the original to have the blackmailer become a newspaper proprietor.

Appledore is this house near Wotton under edge as Canutesauntie said.

So, is CAM not actually dead then, eh?

Some seem to be more Un-dead than others Hmm

But did he know there were no actual vaults bisjo, part of me thinks yes and thats why he asked watson if he had his gun. But if that were the case and he was planning to shoot him why go to those lengths, he could have shot him in the pub/ cafe/ hotel canteen?

So I guess this was all just about the power of the press? I was a bit dissapointed that there was no evil master plan.

What about the bomb?

Not impressed that moriarty is back, does that happen in the books?

I have held Sherlock Holmes' pipe, you know. Stop sniggering at the back.

Basil Rathbone was stranded at Wigan railway station once, and ended up having to stay overnight with a local couple. He thanked them by leaving them the actual pipe he smoked in the films. Their grandson brought it into school to show my dad, who was doing some teaching there at the time, and allowed him to bring it home for the weekend, so I have held it in my own fair hands.

I also gave Benedict Cumberbatch a wank once.

Only one of these stories is true.
