Hope you don't mind me starting the next thread - the old one was dangerously close to full.

Get your eye bleach out ready for this evening!

I hadn't noticed that about the meals and cooking but you're right. And weirdly I think I quite miss the little bits of normality. I would also like to hear some normal conversations. I'm a bit unusual in that I quite like the harmonious bits. I like seeing people get on and seeing how they interact etc. A bit of balance at the very least. I think the editing is poor.

cannotfuckingbelievethis · 13/01/2014 19:12

Dh came into the room last night and was like "wtf is that you're watching ? I was sat on the bed like Shock And when Lee got on the pole I nearly fell of the bed and laughed so hard that a tiny bit of pee came out...

Sparklingbrook · 13/01/2014 19:21

I laughed so much I was wheezing like Muttley in Dastardly and Muttley.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 13/01/2014 19:29

I am still having flashbacks. I think the image of Lee on that pole will haunt me until the day I die.

That was the moment I started wheezing. DS1 (14) came in with a Hmm face at his parents laughing.

Theonlyoneiknow · 13/01/2014 19:32

I know. There haven't ready been any 'normal' conversations! Or them all sitting around in a group just chatting. They need to get some better interaction tasks that don't involve nearly nakedness and pole dancing.

The task at the start with the blocks where they all opened up was really good as it encouraged conversation. We need more like that.

Sparklingbrook · 13/01/2014 19:34

Do you remember the first few series on C4 where they were all handwashing and using the mangel?

they had week long tasks too, keeping the fire burning 24/7 and making sugar cube mountains.

Theonlyoneiknow · 13/01/2014 19:35

And I remember a cycling one where someone had to be on the bike all the time for some reason. Yes those longer tasks were great.

Foxsticks · 13/01/2014 19:37

I always like it when they have jobs to do for a task, especially if they have to get up in the middle of the night. Do you remember the pizza delivery one? Something like that would be good.

Sunshineonsea · 13/01/2014 20:02

Grin and Hmm at the daily star calling itself a family newspaper

LadyBeagleEyes · 13/01/2014 20:12

Imagine buying a cupcake from Luisa's fair hands, first thing in the morning when she's just got in from a sex party.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 13/01/2014 20:17

Why does everyone hate Luisa so much? I thought she was totally in the right with her argument with scrote face Dappy

Foxsticks · 13/01/2014 20:20

We really need a vom smiley.

bigTillyMint · 13/01/2014 20:20

Sparkling, I was laughing that much tooGrin So was DS, DH and DD(when she wasn't shouting at how disgusting, etc they all were!)

I have to say, this series has been fantastic for starting discussions with teens about appropriate behaviour, bitching and how things get blown out of proportion, respecting the opposite sex, etc, etc. But I agree that the old-style tasks and heart-to-heart chats are long goneSad

TortillasAndChocolate · 13/01/2014 20:23

I did used to like the tree of temptation though! 'Oi muscles, piss off'

AnneEyhtMeyer · 13/01/2014 20:38

Because she's a bitch and a shit-stirrer and a bully, Armani. Did you watch the Apprentice?

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 13/01/2014 20:41

That's what they need, long tasks involving mundane stuff that requires lack of sleep and cooperation. And boredom. BB is always best when they're bored. And hungry.

I used to love it when they could do the food shop and buy whatever they liked, so that they would buy a massive bag of pasta, some bread flour, some fake tan and 100 litres of Tesco Value cider.

Evening all,

Just read that Daily Star link - we only saw the 'watered down version' bloody hell Shock
It disturbed me just seeing the pictures of Lee and Lionel again!

NoArmaniNoPunani · 13/01/2014 20:55

Yeah I watched the apprentice but I can't see what's so awful about her. I totally agreed with her that it shouldn't matter how many people a woman has slept with and that there shouldn't be a double standard. I think dappy is a twat

Foxsticks · 13/01/2014 20:55

I loved the tree of temptation!!

I'm not a massive fan of Luisa but I agree with you Armani that she was in the right in the Dappy fight. I watched the Apprentice too. Couldn't warm to her or Leah really. Mind you I didn't really like many of the contestants this year.

thornrose · 13/01/2014 21:01

And.......we're off Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 13/01/2014 21:02

God, thank God you posted that, thorn! I'd lost track of time! Shock

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 13/01/2014 21:04

Every year they have this argument - should you not make noise in the bedroom once someone's gone to bed. Every year! You think things would change.

thornrose · 13/01/2014 21:05
Shock
LadyBeagleEyes · 13/01/2014 21:06

What a couple of silly little girls Luisa and Jasmine are.
I was that silly at about 16 in youth hostels, I was a teen and self absorbed and selfish.
But they're grown women, not kids.
