Yes, we are! Enjoying very much, even though it's massively unpleasantness at times!

MrsSJG · 28/11/2013 18:40

It is a real sit on the edge of your seat programme, isn't it? I was wondering how long Danny could piss him off for. I like how they add new characters in which makes me wonder if that is TT or a red herring Grin

I know!! I am beginning to get a little Hmm about the speed that both TT and the police can keep zipping across the channel. Ok...I can see the police getting across but when I use the tunnel I always seem to sit in queues!

It seemed a bit of a risk to be flaming people one side AND be ready to intervene with the French dude he'd left for the family on the other.

MrsSJG · 28/11/2013 19:32

There is so much to the story and I don't think the guy they named last night is TT, again I think that is a red herring. Last night really got me more than the others. The one thing I did enjoy was seeing Liz Smith in it. She will always be Nanna for me

I watch it with 17 year old DS. Some of the scenes with Elise are a bit Blush with a teenage son.
Frankly I have no idea what is going on but I think I'm enjoying it. In our house if anyone admits to not understanding a plot line the DC give such a withering look of pity and condescension that it's best to keep quiet Grin

MrsSJG · 29/11/2013 22:02

yeah I get a bit Blush in front of Dd, I tend to Mn at that pointGrin

I knew it!
The guy who crashed into Mrs pg with twins must be TT.
(Apologies I can never remember character's names)

valiumredhead · 09/12/2013 16:54

We're going to watch this on demand, I'll be a bit behind but I'll be back to discuss later!

secretsantasquirrels · 09/12/2013 16:54

Let me know what's going on when you've seen it!

lookoveryourshouldernow · 09/12/2013 18:46

...does anyone find the sound on this series pretty dire ?

I can read the sub-titles fine - but the dialogue between the characters (either in French or English) is really muffled and I need to set the TV volume to around 40 to hear it - much to the annoyance of the rest of the family...

MrsSJG · 09/12/2013 21:56

yes I have to turn my tv right up. I thought the same about the guy in the car, but wasn't a 100%. Did anyone notice the mumsnet reference Grin

I will have to wait until it's shown again, tried to watch it tonight and only a few episodes availableSad

GypsyFloss · 15/12/2013 09:00

I've been watching this and have load of bloody questions. Has anyone watched up to last week?

diddl · 15/12/2013 10:06

I only watched one ep, but it seemed rubbish compared to The Bridge.

OfflineFor40Years · 15/12/2013 11:50

I've been watching, and am up to date, not sure I understand everything though. I think the acting's great, but agree with the sound levels - have to switch the volume up when Clemence Poesy is speaking.

MrsSJG · 15/12/2013 11:52

We have watched every one, can't wait until Wednesday night and the conclusion. I am not saying anything other than that in case people haven't seen this week's episode.

Sorry for double post Blush

Despair in my house last night when Sky packed up. I kept switching it on and it would come on for about 10 seconds and then go blank.

I went to bed depressed, wondering if I could get an engineer out to fix it in time for the finale this close to Christmas. I got up at 6am to try to get it going, if not I was going to call. I couldn't face not seeing it.

There was a blue light on the amp (I think it is) that I couldn't remember whether was usually on or off. This, morning I noticed a button under it - my living room lighting is quite low and moody so I couldn't see it last night.

I pressed it; it went off; the TV came to life. I was actually saying out loud: 'Please don't go off. Please don't go off' a bit like a bomb disposal person. After a couple of minutes I began to relax.

Why would a TV system have a button that turns it off for no particular reason? I'm so happy I'm not going to dwell on it Grin

I blame the cat.

GypsyFloss · 15/12/2013 14:23

It's taken me a while to get into it but its been excellent for the last couple of episodes. Looking forward to the final episode.

diddl · 18/12/2013 06:46

Has anyone who is watching this seen The Bridge?

GypsyFloss · 18/12/2013 08:15

I haven't but would be tempted now.

diddl · 18/12/2013 08:20

Much better imo.

(The Danish/Scandi one).

GypsyFloss · 18/12/2013 09:35

Wonder if Netflix have it?
