Thought would get in there early in case something exciting happens and we all get carried away.

Just to make my stance clear - I love Alfonso, Vincent and David, falling out of love with Matthew and am really not liking Amy or Mo. Am pretty 'take em or leave em' about the rest Smile

Annie walker was in corrie yanumpty I think you mean Annie SUGDEN Grin

NorbertDentressangle · 04/12/2013 22:18

My theory is that Alfonso (who clearly thinks he is the most famous person on the planet EVER!) has had it written into his contract that he has to be in the last X number of contestants left in there.

I mean, he's not really funny or entertaining to watch, he doesn't want to be there/shouldn't be there as he has a new born baby at home (and surely a lot of people who vote would take this into consideration??), he's a bit full of himself and doesn't come across as a particularly natural person

LadyBeagleEyes · 04/12/2013 22:47

Yes that's who I meant mrsjay. Grin
I also remember Annie Walker though, that's when I watched soaps, it's been a few years since then.
Oh and Amos Brearly from Emmerdale, that's going back too.

BlueSkySunnyDay · 04/12/2013 23:10

I couldnt disagree more about Rebecca being disappointing, I dont really know anything about her other than she is an olympian but now I think she is a lovely girl. I wouldnt judge her at all for crying at the beginning, she is only a few years older than Amy, she just doesnt seem it because she doesnt play the "little girl" card like Amy does. Amy seems like an annoying teen - I bet her bedroom is foul!

UmpireOnCall · 04/12/2013 23:13

Norbert you must b right. Who can b voting to keep him in???

UmpireOnCall · 04/12/2013 23:14

He was so embarrassing in the Who is most famous task. Cringing. Like The Office. Worse tho

BlueSkySunnyDay · 04/12/2013 23:17

The "fame" discussion with Alphonso was excruciating - I did say to H "god do you remember the Americans at our resort on honeymoon" about 10 like Alphonso all loud and confident, I think a lot of our issues with him are just that we are culturally different to Americans Grin

I guess no one in there is massively famous though are they - all successful in their fields but some niche and some not globally. Fresh Prince of Bel Air has been about a long time, is still being shown all over the world so maybe worldwide he may be the best known...still i'd have handled it with a little more grace Wink

plopp · 04/12/2013 23:22

Didn't realise that David was recovering from cancer - I hope he wins, such a lovely man.

UmpireOnCall · 04/12/2013 23:24

yeh that was a real cultural divide. the others were all naming each other (but not themselves) Alfonso was practically shouting "i am the most famous!".

As norbert says, having seen him carry on like that, he could well have insisted that he didn't suffer the humiliation of being in the first five out. who's out now. annabel,mo, matthew, simone, steve. Ok, alfonso tomorrow please

Yeh. Matthew is hinting that its pre-ordained, joey for king.
And joey aside i cant believe people are picking up a phone and voting for alfonso. He's insufferable. Im old enough to remember fpoba but i dont remember him!

And it is the under 30s that do the voting. I sit and watch it, but VOTING? That never crosses my mind. So WHO is voting for boring tedious lecturing alfonso.
I dont buy it.

Really Umpire, you remember FPOBA but you dont remember Carlton the pompous cousin? He was actually very good - but like Matthew says the younger "stars" (and im using that term very losely) are more likely to win.

Last 4 should be Joey, David, Kian & Rebecca - I really think Joey will win and I really never thought I would say this, I actually wouldnt be upset if he did. He's not the sharpest pencil in the box but seems to have a good heart, is willing to learn about new things and his curiousity about the stick insect was quite charming. As for the bit of film on get me out of here now where he claimed to have been given a bruise by a frog Grin

Ah now u say the pompous cousin, i remember that part yes, but that actor, his face... total amnaesia!

BlueSkySunnyDay · 05/12/2013 00:13

Umpire - Hes larger than he was then - but then arent most of us Grin - id have known his voice anywhere though.

To be honest he doesnt seem to have been as much of an a*se as some of the American stars they have on there have been - I wouldnt really want him to win though.

beaglesaresweet · 05/12/2013 00:39

So WHO is voting for boring tedious lecturing alfonso
that's just what I was about to put into my post! fgs, WHY is he still there? I for one, never knew of him, why does he presume that people here or in europe watch his serials at all? never even heard of them. But it's not just the fame thing, I wanted him gone long ago, so tedious!

I think it's between Kian and Joey for the king, Kian is getting more and more popular now, enjoyed him in the trial today, all focused and caring sort of, and both have not a bad bone in them. Kian more interesting imo, even though not as funny as Joey can be with his naivety (no thanks to any effort Grin)!

TukTuk · 05/12/2013 02:01

I can only think that Emmerdale have given cast and crew orders to vote 'X' amount of times per show . There is nothing likeable about Lucy.

Didn't ITV2 move along rather quickly when Matthew pointed out that its all in the edit ? Wink

mrsjay · 05/12/2013 08:55

I also remember Annie Walker though, that's when I watched soaps, it's been a few years since then.

I can remember too does that make us ancient

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/12/2013 09:30

Prob is voting for your fav means sometimes the least fav isn't the least bit just didn't get votes in

The dingo dollars questions are a bit unfair. All these surveys - other years they had questions like add up ages of those in camp

So something they can do. Where surveys are 50/50

Lord fpoba - watched all (I'm 40) and Carlton was funny but didn't know his name when they said who they all were

His character is famous. Not him

And if he really wants to get out why doesn't he quit

Or if they quit do they lose their fee!

Snowbility · 05/12/2013 09:36

Alfonso gets more and more irritating, what's with the over moralising. And are the other celebrities accusing Amy of playing a game, seriously suggesting they don't have a game plan - even if it's just to be themselves they'll have discussed it with their agent - they'd be idiotic not to, given this is all about self promotion.
Kian suggests he's not doing the trials for publicity just for his own pleasure like that somehow makes him a better person - these guys are full of shit, they are so funny.

LadyBeagleEyes · 05/12/2013 11:03

Steve was just interviewed on This Morning and said it was the happiest camp ever and he was laughing every day particularly with Lucy and Mathew, who apparently were really funny.
Why didn't we see that?
I'm feeling sorry for Lucy now, she's clearly getting a very bad edit, as most of the people that have left the jungle love her.
Philips face when he said that was just astonishment, I wonder if they're told who to back.

mrsjay · 05/12/2013 11:06

TBH honest the winner is always decided on who eats the arse on the last day Grin

beaglesaresweet · 05/12/2013 11:48

I did htink Matthew was funny and a character, he's hardly bland! sorry he went.
Don't find Lucy funny but she's an earthy salty unpretentious woman with a sharp tongue but not too much, appeals to many, stereotype but she's so midlands/north - that's why big support.
