This is a thread for all fans of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

It's getting colder. Patients tend to spread the love and STDs in this season of goodwill. The Mill and Campus are over run with patients Shock. Everyone needs to pick up the pace...

Who's Tilly?

MsNobodyAgain · 28/11/2013 13:58

That is what I was thinking

OP posts:
MsNobodyAgain · 28/11/2013 14:06

I wonder if we will get a new likeable doctor then.

What's going on with Val's friends?

MsNobodyAgain · 28/11/2013 14:13

I think the dead wife abducted Val's friend when she was 4 and brought her up as her own. The husband had kept the secret.

Bit dark for Doctors really.

Very weird. As is a character called Tilly appearing. Remember when we got our cats and were laughing at one of them being Doctors themed and called Milly? The other is Tilly. Was starting to think I might have two Doctors themed pets but doesn't look as though she'll be sticking around (the character not the cat).

curlyclaz13 · 28/11/2013 15:44

just catching up, wtf is the son/daughter thing ?
Howard won't be impressed with jizz buggering off like that even if she is clearly about to go into labour
how come MrsT hasn't spotted the phone and Chris hasn't noticed it isn't glued to his hand.
it's all questions today Grin

curlyclaz13 · 28/11/2013 15:45

sorry father/daughter thing ?

Raahh · 28/11/2013 15:50

love the Doctors themed cats.Grin

I have been out shopping for Christmas cards, having my annual rant that you can buy cards for everybody under the sun- the dog, the neighbour down the road, the bloke who works in the chippy and slept with your auntie that week in Bognor, and that's why your cousin looks nothing like any one else in your immediate family...- but can you find one that says GRANNY and not bloody Nan/Nanna? NO YOU CANNOT.

It makes me cross.AngryGrin

apologies to all the people with Nan/Nanna's, but I have only ever had Grans and grannysGrin

curlyclaz13 · 28/11/2013 15:55

raahh my mum is grandma and I struggled to find a birthday card they were all Nan/Nanna. I thought it was a local thing but maybe not.

MsNobodyAgain · 28/11/2013 16:27

My mum is always Grandma. She does a cats bum face at "grown men saying they went to their Nana's"

HarrietJonesPM · 28/11/2013 16:52

Dd1/2 used to have 5 Nannas and a Grandma. Only one if each left now and they sort their own cards.

cinnamongreyhound · 28/11/2013 17:01

I've been quite pleased this year Raahh, my mum is Nanny and I normally have to go with Nan or Nanna but I had THREE to choose from today, yay!!

Tilly is 6tl's god daughter who turned up yesterday and after a few hours ended up in bed with Chris. MrsT seemed to notice the phone and be annoyed by it but not do anything. Who's mobile goes onto speaker when a voicemail is left? Not any I know!

cinnamongreyhound · 28/11/2013 17:26

Ah I see, she thinks it's coming from the mill phone, that's a bit dozy of MrsT!

cinnamongreyhound · 28/11/2013 17:29

TBFE is a big softy really, aaaaaahhhh Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 28/11/2013 17:30

Is he full of Christmas spirit or something?!?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/11/2013 17:30

Haven't seen today's yet as I've been out on errands for DH all bloody day (my 10am post was actually using McD's WIFI, shh, don't tell anyone!).

However, I share your Granny card rant. Granny is nowhere, not on any birthday or Christmas cards. Neither is Grampy. I hate the card companies with their favouritism towards Nans and granddads.

I hate the word Nan. When MIL said that is what she wanted to be called by DD I cringed.

cinnamongreyhound · 28/11/2013 17:37

I let my mum choose as she has to be called it :)

Oh dear Al is going to have a melt down that Jizz is leaving but I guess the cameramen will be breathing a sigh of relief!

ClayDavis · 28/11/2013 18:04

cinnamon I've always called my Dad's mum, Nanny. I don't think I've ever managed to find a card with it on. Birthday or Christmas.

Just about to catch up with today's episode. This week has definitely been better than last week.

cinnamongreyhound · 28/11/2013 18:21

I got mine from the Card Factory, so even better!

Raahh · 28/11/2013 18:34

cinnamon- I went to the card factory tooGrin they are half price at the moment- which is why i was gutted they only had Nana cards-(and it will cost as much to find a granny one, as all my other cards put togetherGrin)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 28/11/2013 18:44

Agree totally about Granny cards. Both mine were Granny and my mum is Granny, she hates any of the other names. We don't do individual Christmas cards but it's a pain for birthday cards and you can never find for example a mug with Granny on it. DMIL is Grandma, that's marginally easier.

ClayDavis · 28/11/2013 18:49

Grin,Raahh. I love card factory for cards. Might have to leave it though. She gets strangely upset and being called 'nanny' these days.

Jizz is leaving tomorrow. Can she take 6tl with her do you think?

cinnamongreyhound · 28/11/2013 21:04

My mum says granny makes her sound old Hmm

AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/11/2013 22:11

Watching now.

Granny is the best name. Nanny is the worst - it is a goat.
