Recording it to watch with DH on Sunday when he's back from being away for work. I have really enjoyed it so far!

It's rubbish I suspect. But enjoyable rubbish all the same!

I think there may be another series planned

RoxanneReidsChafingFishnets · 01/11/2013 22:40

Watching second episode now.

I still have no fucking clue whats happening

2rebecca · 01/11/2013 22:40

I'm watching it and enjoying it but I'm a bit wary of open ended series from over the pond. They tend to make multiple series(es) to get money and the plot gets vaguer and wafflier like Lost.
I prefer story type TV serieses to have had the end written before the series starts so everything hangs together properly like the Killing. Let it go on for umpteen weeks if it must but someone should have planned an ending and made sure all the ends tie up not just keep making it up as they go along.
I have similar concerns about Game of Thrones. the author seems to have got bored of it and sidetracked into other projects and may die of an MI before he writes an ending.

RoxanneReidsChafingFishnets · 01/11/2013 23:21

Watched it and still have no ide what happened

Tee2072 · 02/11/2013 09:10

2rebecca, you know it's a BBC production, right? Granted, BBC America, but still BBC.

And I am not sure that was going to be the ending before they were given a second series.

Which I assume will be her hunt for Kira.

been following this, crazy crazy story, quite hard to follow, but the ending! did not understand that.
it really should have been made for teenagers, i think

Tee2072 · 02/11/2013 12:22

What was so hard to follow? Ask, I'll try and answer. I followed it no problem.

Loved it and ended up watching the entire series over 1 weekend. Didn't think it was too hard to follow.

Agree about that probably not being the planned ending. I would have been massively annoyed if it had been and there was no second series.

Bumply · 02/11/2013 15:11

I loved it and thought Tatiana was amazing at acting 7 different roles so well that I sometimes forgot they were the same actor. And as for doing one clone bring another and still being recognisable - I'm in awe.
And I loved Felix.
They started filming second series in September apparently.
Why for teenagers?
I'm 50 and it was a breath of fresh air to have a thoughtful sci-fi plot.

Tee2072 · 02/11/2013 15:15

She was amazing, Bumply.

waikikamookau · 02/11/2013 16:46

i dont think it was particularly intelligent. i loved the two main actors. but there were loose strings.. but I coudlnt leave it, and had to keep watching til the bitter end

2rebecca · 02/11/2013 18:35

It's a Canadian sci fi series that is being shown on the BBC

cheerfulweatherforthewedding · 02/11/2013 18:37

I loved Felix too.

That was the last in that series? What a pity.

anonacfr · 02/11/2013 21:47

Actress is fantastic. The mannerisms she brought to all the clones were so clever.

Things certainly unravelled didn't they? can't believe Alison suddenly turned into a killer. One minute she was all road-movie buddy with Felix (bring me something gay- heh!) and next she watches her fake mentor choke to death. I take it it means all the clones are flawed apart from Sarah? Alison is seemingly losing her mind, Cosima's sick, Beth also had mental health issues and of course there's Helena. I was really hoping that Helena would come back from the dark side but I guess she was too unhinged to cope with normal life.

So is Mrs S one of the scientists on the picture?

I second the why teenagers comment. I thought it was v well executed and I can't wait to see the second series. Saying that if they had only done one it would have ended on a fabulous cliffhanger, a la season 2 of This Life.

anonacfr · 02/11/2013 21:52

waikikamookau I just saw your comment. I'm not quite sure how you would define 'intelligent' television.
There was an interesting unfolding main plot, good cliffhangers, some hilarious moments and not that many loose strings as far as I was aware.

The acting was also rather terrific from Tatiana!

waikikamookau · 03/11/2013 07:57

absolutely agree, with the terrific acting from Tatiana. so believable. and loved felix
