I think Mrs S was one of the scientists but she had a change of heart and ran off with Sarah to protect her.
She was so caring towards Kira and really acted like a mum towards Sarah. I don't want her to be bad.
I'd say she's either run off or was taken with Kira.

Speaking of Kira the end of the episode when she was hit by the car I literally burst into tears. I really thought she was dead- I didn't realise she was a superheroine.

I hate that they didn't wrap up any loose ends.

It's cheap to finish a series with just a bunch of teasers for the next series.

Ooh, good theory anon! That explains the picture that the birth mother was showing Sarah (presumably a pic of mrs s in a white coat?)

but how is the birth mother black? and how clones? she had twins, which were cloned? the clones were from helena?

and what happened to Art?

From the last episode i suspect that Mrs S was/is Sarah's genetic mother and one of the original scientists. She certainly looks like her.

The birth mother was presumably just implanted with fertilised embryos and was trying to warn Sarah about Mrs S.

Maybe Mrs S hiding Sarah all her life was all a lie and she's been monitoring her all along? Or maybe she had a change of heart like anonacfr said upthread.
