This is a thread for all fans of the daily soap 'Doctors'. BBC1, 1.45pm.

So, Halloween is nearly upon us. Which of the Halloween smileys suits the Doctors cast and it's viewers best (bear with me, this is tenuous):

- Mandy (FOD), will make a pleasant witch (can we burn her at the stake?)
- Karen (Gobby), she's got a mouth that big.
- Howard (TBFE), tough times for him atm.
- Heston, you sly old dog you.
- everyone elses face on hearing about Hestons prowess.
- Kevin, in awe of Heston, poor bloke.
- Barry, on being turned down by his latest love interest.
- Jimmi, on not realising it's Halloween andthentalkingtooquicklyandquietlytocoveruphisembarrasment
and - us, the Doctors watchers. WTF?!
- Mrs T. She doesn't do Halloween.

It must be so awful for patients who have to find out about family deaths again in this sort of situation. Never thought about it before.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I love Gobby.

I think this is being done so well. You never really see it from the patient's point of view in any other programme. Doctors is the best thing on TV by far. *

I see in true Doctors' tradition Gobby's mum has been in it twice before as different characters.

I had no idea about any alternative meaning.

I remember a lot of discussion about 'Relax' at school- but I was a pretty naive 12 year old.

I was at a convent school. Contrary to popular belief we were all naive.

I had lacy gloves too- wore them to a wedding. I wasn't really a very trendy kid, otherwise.

So even in 1984 she could just walk in the Docs and get an appointment.

Grange surgery/Dr Grainger- funny. Love the moustache.

Does this mean we might be getting 6 episodes of WTF Gobbies in Wonderland, one per year til she reaches 1991?

I expect we will at least get the 'how the Gobbies met in the copshop' episode with a 'move towards the light, Karen' moment

Me too - what a fab storyline to have given them as well. I remember the baby/split storyline and I actually stopped watching for a bit.

They are the pivotal characters imo tho still miss Julia & that hippy one

just filled OH in on the wtf, I am a still confused/amused by gobby being her normal age in 1984. She has got a good figure though. I would look like a sack of spuds dressed like that and she is probably old enough to be my mum eats a biscuit to cheer myself up.
I like the idea of a wtf gobby spin off, filled with them getting a take away and playing bingo.
