Right, need to get organised. Ds has another school open evening, and dd1's class are doing a cake sale. As previously discussed, my baking skills are hampered by my -unhygeinic-- shit oven. So I bought cakes, for dd1 to take to sell. And will end up buying them back at the sale.

Would have been quicker/cheaper to chuck £5 in the pot. not exactly school spirit

I've got a cake in the oven, no idea what it's going to be like, it was a disaster in the making, first I dropped an egg, then added cocoa instead of sugar, then realised I didn't have any ground almonds so added more flour instead. I suspect if I go back and look at the recipe again I will find I have missed something else out.

I think I would like zombie apocalypse Austen more than normal Austen !
