Anyone watching this tonight?

It's a guilty pleasure of mine Blush

Why are the two black women always drinking out of Pot Noodle containers? Is it Pot Noodle juice or something else?

Is the lad in the household with German Goth dad a brother or a boyfriend (if latter, why always there?) I would love to know how German met his wife.

What happened to the couple who used to watch in bed?

Brenda and her friend are growing on me. The discussion about Michael Jackson's 'paediatric' tendencies was superb tonight.

Lighthousekeeping · 12/12/2013 02:14

I love it but does anyone think it's getting more staged?

OpalTourmaline · 12/12/2013 11:19

I think the posh couple are totally putting on an act for the cameras which involves dressing up, full make up, glass in hand and saying things they think will be funny. It's like watching a performance. The others not quite to that extent.

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 12/12/2013 11:33

Stephanie's posh accent slips sometimes, I think it's put on.

OpalTourmaline · 12/12/2013 11:43

Yes I think she hams up her poshness

fairisleknitter · 12/12/2013 11:52

She's not as posh as he is.

My DH insists one of the two older gents is known for something else. I'll tell him it was Heir Hunters!

moondog · 12/12/2013 16:45

Yes Opal.
Who sits like that watching tv? [hmmm]
That's the trouble with stuff like this. Once the magic is captured and noted, it begins to slip.
The gay guys and black women are starting to ham it up too.
Not so the German/Scousers I feel.

OpalTourmaline · 12/12/2013 16:48

Agree re the gay guys.

moondog · 12/12/2013 16:50

They don't live together do they?
They are always in lounge waer type clothing but beardy said to the other, when offered a drink 'I can't I'm driving'.
That seems weird. Woudn't he know he w2as driving?

Lighthousekeeping · 12/12/2013 17:00

Also how do they do it exactly? No one could've predicted what night Nelson Mandela died. I don't honestly think they would all be watching the news every night at that time. Especially the children.

OpalTourmaline · 13/12/2013 10:57

Maybe they just have the cameras rolling any time they watch TV and then caught people seeing the announcement on TV

wintera · 13/12/2013 16:24

I did really like the gay guys but one of them said a couple of things last week that went too far I thought. It was when Nicole S was on and he said 'looks like someone has come all over her' cos she had too much baby oil on. Then to hammer it home he said 'she looks all jizzed up'. Just thought that was too crass for my liking.

moondog · 13/12/2013 19:34

I read an article about it recently in the Saturday Telegraph. They have camera crew in the homes who then go through all the footage. They claim to filter out obvious showing off, but I am less and less convinced about that.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 19/12/2013 08:38

I loved last night's Christmas episode and I'm going against the grain here but I really like the geeky guys. I also love the Jewish family, especially last night when the little one directioner revealed she'd eaten bacon! (In a moment of teen rebellion, not because I wanted to see her go against her religion. I hope you know what I mean there!!)

Shortbutsosweet · 20/12/2013 16:05

Posh guy looks like Kate Middletons dad

WhoKnowsWhereTheMistletoes · 20/12/2013 16:27

One of the gay guys referred to "being able to see her beef curtains" while watching Rebecca Adlington on I'm a Celeb the other week, thought that was pretty crass too.

girliefriend · 20/12/2013 16:46

watched it last night and laughed a lot. The posh couple are clearly shit faced - esp the bloke Grin that in itself is enough to make me laugh.

Also laughed everytime the black ladies said that Susan Boyle was Irish Grin Grin

WildThong · 20/12/2013 16:50

I love the old couple too. "Show us your nicks, go on" !
Grin

Vivacia · 21/12/2013 15:10

I'm watching the Susan Boyle one. Adult-son-living-at-home is a little shit laughing at her get nervous and not handling it in the way he thinks she should.

wintera · 21/12/2013 15:50

Yes the beef curtains line made me wince as well. He seems to be just out to shock in the more recent eps. They all seem to be playing up to the cameras a bit too much now which kind of makes sense as it has become a big hit now. They obviously know that so they are no longer as natural as they once were which is a shame.

wintera · 21/12/2013 15:52

My sister saw June on a train to Liverpool the other week and was quite made up to see her in the flesh!

Vivacia · 21/12/2013 18:13

June is a good spot wintera's sister!

I don't like the boyfriend who sits on the left. The guy on the right seems so nice and the one on the left is getting nastier with his comments.

ThreeBeeOneGee · 21/12/2013 22:28

The mum from the Tapper family was in my year at school.

Lighthousekeeping · 23/12/2013 20:11

Are the actually in a relationship or just mates? They don't seem together to me. Sometimes I feel the dark haired one is just there because he feels he has to be.

New series starts Friday 7th March!
