This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

Right, now the stalker storyline is out of the way, I think it's time to channel our inner Howard and whip this programme into shape:

  1. Every opportunity must be taken to get TBFE in his fishing or army gear and get him all ruffly haired.
  1. Heston must stop messing about with restaurant reviews (and that reptilian Emma) and realise his love for Mrs T.
  1. Mrs T should wear her flirty wig (see note 2).
  1. Zara will continue to master acting purely by moving her eyebrows and saying "really?".
  1. The Gobbys will appear in as many episodes as possible to add comedy value.

So line up troops and let's march into the world of WTF!

Everyone is welcome, newbies, regulars and even cast members (arf).

Raahh at least Andy one the first rubber of the tennis(against a 16yr old I know) Or does that add to your tally of Friday 13th woes?

Raahh · 13/09/2013 19:35

My tv is back! Hallelujah! I nearly had to talk to dh Grin

So, I am once again playing catchup with DoctorsSad

Raahh · 13/09/2013 21:55

Now I am really cross. I thoughtcos I am dumb that even thoughVirgin died for hours, Doctors would still have recorded.

It didn't. Bastard.

Iwill have to watch iplayer, and I hate iplayerSad

MsNobodyAgain · 13/09/2013 22:14

Perfect end to your day really!

I've JUST got the DCs to bed. Now I am too tired to do anything but go to bed myself. Can be pretty lonely this single parent lark.

Sad

hope you have a good nights sleep, MsNo

cinnamongreyhound · 14/09/2013 12:14

My postman is a bit too friendly, calls me by my first name which he can only have got from my post Shock and said 'oh ds2 has a birthday I see' yesterday as he gave me his birthday cards!

Didn't watch Friday as we were at the zoo getting wet for ds2's birthday. Will try to catch up if I get a spare half an hour this weekend!

Sorry to hear your dc were a pain going to bed MsNobodyAgain. If it makes you feel better mine stayed at my mums last night and instead of going to the cinema as we planned we went home to bed Shock. Do feel better for 9 hours straight sleep though!

HoggyTruffle · 14/09/2013 16:21

Aww MsN Flowers. Sometimes it is a hard but I'm sure you are doing a grand job.

I'm with you Cinammon, a night of sleep sounds better than a cinema!

MsNobodyAgain · 14/09/2013 17:02

Thanks. I am with you two. I went on holiday years ago without the DC. It was to my sisters place in Portugal. She asked me what I wanted to do for the week. I said "sleep" Grin

Spent my time on sunloungers, restaurants and in bed. It was lovely.

Maybe I should find out if Heston does 'mates rates' for his Tuscan retreat.

Cinnamon - we do that too sometimes, look at each other and say shall we go out, no, CBA. Seems like a waste but actually it is really nice to be able to just settle down in front of the telly from about 7 (my two usually keep me busy till 8.30-9). I take my hat off to single parents MsN, the bedtime routine exhausts me with just two of them and at least DH usually does the washing up. I quite often just stay upstairs once the DCs are in bed, watch a bit of telly, read a bit and crash out myself.

Raahh · 15/09/2013 15:43

Just caught up with the spoilers and am relieved to see they are not stringing out a certain storyline.

I am feeling rubbish today, headaches, cramp and I've had to ferry both dcs to various parties. I'm feeling sorry for myself.Grin

But I'm better off than dh, who has been in Leicester all weekend umpiring a softball tournament. It's atrocious weather- if we didn't need the money, I'd have told him not to bother. And his 'full breakfast in a tin' was mainly beansGrin. The joys of a grown man slumming in student digs- but I think he's grateful it's not a tent this time!GrinGrin.

I think "breakfast in a tin" is a man thing. DH likes tins of beans with sausages in them.

Thanks for the reminder about the spoilers - looking forward to seeing TBFE in his uniform.

What have you been buying on e-bay, MsN?

MsNobodyAgain · 15/09/2013 18:17

It's all birthday and Christmas stuff for the DCs. Nascars (of course), Monster Jam trucks, Power Rangers and bongo drums Hmm.

Must find my earplugs.

I have been leafing through yesterday's magazine out of The Sun. We may be seeing a return of some well loved characters. We didn't know we loved them til they left.

Raahh · 15/09/2013 18:55

'we didn't know we loved them til they left'

very trueGrin
Never did I think I would miss ImmieGrin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 15/09/2013 19:55

Oh dear, MsN. Can you soundproof their rooms?

AlphaBetaOoda · 15/09/2013 20:01

I don't miss Immie.

So now I've caught up on Doctors but lost interest due to BAH crash story/Sameoldsameold safeguarding story(bet the SW is overweight, has scarves and a pile of papers btw) and bloody iplayer only allowing it in 5 min blocks.

I can now catch up on the thread!
Mt postman changed rounds and he was really good but I think our volume of parcels put him off. New one is good but insists on delivering rather than handing it out in town like the old one did.
I'm currently buying waterproofs and Xmas shopping on eBay.

MsNobodyAgain · 15/09/2013 20:23

Ood the amount of stuff I have to take delivery of next week will unsettle my postie no end. Grin

Anne Thankfully only one set of bongos needed for DS1 and HE'S A SHOUTER ANYWAY so the bongos may indeed be quieter than he is. He didn't talk at all til he was 3, I used to cry buckets about it BUT HE'S MADE UP FOR IT SINCE!

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 15/09/2013 20:34

Grin MsN.

My Christmas shopping is virtually done. I've even bought most of the non-perishable food bits!

cinnamongreyhound · 15/09/2013 21:11

I am not even thinking about Christmas!

Watching now, slight overreaction to a penny!

HoggyTruffle · 15/09/2013 21:20

Christmas! Shock

I spent nearly 2 hours in the Game Workshop with DS. He has discovered a love for hideously overpriced plastic figures to play war games with. I guess that will be on his Christmas list.
