This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

Right, now the stalker storyline is out of the way, I think it's time to channel our inner Howard and whip this programme into shape:

  1. Every opportunity must be taken to get TBFE in his fishing or army gear and get him all ruffly haired.
  1. Heston must stop messing about with restaurant reviews (and that reptilian Emma) and realise his love for Mrs T.
  1. Mrs T should wear her flirty wig (see note 2).
  1. Zara will continue to master acting purely by moving her eyebrows and saying "really?".
  1. The Gobbys will appear in as many episodes as possible to add comedy value.

So line up troops and let's march into the world of WTF!

Everyone is welcome, newbies, regulars and even cast members (arf).

AlphaBetaOoda · 11/09/2013 20:20

Some of the Zaniel one must overlap as TBFE took a panicky phone call from Zara.

Are we all NW-ers?
Raah & MsN are Manchester ? I'm in Cumbria, where's everyone else?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/09/2013 20:46

Midlands

cinnamongreyhound · 11/09/2013 20:47

South east :)

HoggyTruffle · 11/09/2013 20:54

Born and bred in the NW (almost a scouser), sold out and live in the SE. Wink

Is it really worth me watching part 3 tomorrow without the benefit of the first two?

Raahh · 11/09/2013 20:56

Today, I felt very Mancunian/Northern, as I was watching 'Show me, show me', with dd2, and they were rhyming 'giraffe' with scarf.

I was cross. Grin

DD2 is obvs posh/adopted- she says 'daaaaahnce' , ffs.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/09/2013 20:57

South East here too

HoggyTruffle · 11/09/2013 21:05

My DC have confused accents. Dance is also said in a posh way, bus is with a northern U and then they go a bit cockney. I couldn't work out why DD was saying she was angry - turns out she was HUNGRY(channelling her inner Dick van Dyke)

Raahh · 11/09/2013 21:18

Grin Hoggy

Raahh · 11/09/2013 21:21

I reminds me of waiting for a train at Stockport station- there were people waiting to go to Buxton.

The tannoy announcement came, folks wereConfused

Where the flip is Backkston?

MsNobodyAgain · 11/09/2013 21:30

Hoggy I don't think parts 1 and 2 were worth watching so I'd definitely skip part 3 if I was you.

DS2 sounds like a southerner. DS1 talks like Jonathan Woss Ross. It's quite cute when they both go on a bit Smile

MsNobodyAgain · 11/09/2013 21:31

And I talk like Terry Christian so I'm told Hmm

Another Midlander here, hey Anne maybe we could visit the set one day ! Maybe as extras you could make an appointment with tbfe for your addiction to dodgy daytime soaps Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 11/09/2013 21:51

Oooh! Good plan Curly!

We could wear Mrs T wigs and have lunch in the Ikon!

HoggyTruffle · 11/09/2013 21:57

Get on the FB page and suggest Doctors run a competition for local fans. The prize can be to act as TBFE's wardrobe mistress for a day. Curly and Anne can fight over who undresses dresses him first.

cinnamongreyhound · 11/09/2013 22:00

But giraffe does rhyme with scarf Confused Wink

Ds1 is getting a Norfolk accent (was moved here by my mum at 10 so no accent) he now says compooter and hooge, working hard on him!

Raahh · 11/09/2013 22:04

cinnamon Grin

Raahh · 11/09/2013 22:06

We sooooooooo need MNHQ to do a Doctors web chat. I realise it's a bit niche, but it would make some sad women who should know better us very happy. Grin

AlphaBetaOoda · 12/09/2013 08:32

Web chat with who though?a writer, director , actor TBFE for Anne and Who

MsNobodyAgain · 12/09/2013 08:35

A Doctors webchat? Well that would be understood by us sad lot but the rest of MN would probably wade in unsuspecting and ask for advice about piles and fanjo problems.

Ello laydees! Catching up with part 2, good lord, is there really a part 3? What does TBFE stand for? :D

Raahh · 12/09/2013 09:54

'The Bloke From Emmerdale'

Grin

These are some of the other nicknames we use. Grin

'FOD' means Forehead of Doom. Nurse Mandy because, well... she's got a large forehead. grin

'6tl' is Emma, sixth time lucky as the actress that plays her had bit parts in Doctors 5 times before she joined as Emma.

Jas is 'Jizz' as she had a job on a sex chatline.
