Don't watch it but read that TOWIE is scripted really, same with all these type shows, they are just more or less playing a part. Saw Mark Wright in something and he cam across really well too, considering he 's supposed to be a cad.

Some parts are scripted but quite often especially when they are having a row it just goes off and it is reflecting what is actually going on their lives. Some events and scenes are set up to get them all together and kicking off.

For example, Mario did cheat on his GF and they had a bad break up but TOWIE set up parties and events where they will get together and "have a talk". Then it usually all kicks off.

Another point about BB that's been annoying me. Why do they always choose the bigger characters for these tasks? Mario, Carol and Lauren. Lauren was involved in the task on the first night in the secret room. I'd have much rather seen maybe Abz, Dustin and Charlotte in the secret task room this week. It was like BB the other week, they kept picking Gina for Queen Bee task and a few more snd giving her power of the housemates.It's annoying! As it turned out Carol was given power to put someone up last night. I can't stand her.

I have an inkling it is in contracts wrecktangle these people dont go in and not dictate what happens to them I dont think where as the likes of Abz is just chilling but being ignored,

You're probably right there, mrsjay it just seems a bit unfair.

Vicky, Bruce, abz, dustin and even Charlotte are just bit part players. Lauren especially has been given way to much power. I thought carol returning to the house was cringe and tired and yawn.
Was so hoping another housemate would be saved first, but no it was miss haversham. If you notice how the lauren that first entered the house (shuffling, dopey, and haggered) has now been replaced by someone quite different, am hoping the confidence she is trying to stifle will trip her up and she will comedy fall, address camera, or poor me poor me just one time too many and the over egging will be her down fall.
It happens to them all, every year one of them lets their ego spiral out of control. Happened to gina only a couple of weeks ago.

I was quite surprised she "returned" all happy to meet everyone again . Though she did say she was "angry" she looked quite chipper and collected...

I really do not like Carol, there is a nastiness about her, like a school bully IYSWIM and I think all the other housemates know that too although nobody is saying it outright.

I think Dustin is there as the Prince Lorenzo of this BB, quiet and unassuming yet will put forward a well justified argument when he needs to (as when picking Mario or Carol)

Is anybody else seeing these echoes of previous BBs? Dustin and Prince Lorenzo, Carol and Julie Goodyear, etc or am I reading too much into a few coincidences?

Ooh, just thought of another similarity Louis Spence and Julian Clary as the gay, waspish housemate (although Louis lacks Julian's warmth and kndness in my opinion)
