And so it begins....

OP posts:
valiumredhead · 04/09/2013 13:24

She didn't deduce it, she questioned it, as Lauren has a history of lying. I question everything she does.

I also don't think Charlotte wet the bed by accident.

Kaluki · 04/09/2013 13:27

Well I think Sophie is lying too about her use of Botox.

valiumredhead · 04/09/2013 13:29

I think you're probably right about SophieWink

Ah Chip I meant to add that they are obviously cutting her some slack as neither Louie or Abz had nominated her . Calling Louie a hypocrite for nominating her is exactly why I don't like her . I could imagine she was seething thinking Abz had nominated her after she had given him the 'I'm cleaning you can't nominate me now' speech.

TukTuk · 04/09/2013 13:36

Ignor me - I know what I want to say but my fingers are running away with me today !

valiumredhead · 04/09/2013 13:37

I also think Louie is lying about being only 43!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 04/09/2013 13:39

I know exactly what I posted thanks Noddy, and I don't feel I have to take another look at them.

Lauren is a self-confessed liar, therefore I feel entirely justified not believing she is being 100% honest now.

I have never said I don't believe she has dyspraxia. Read my posts. I said I doubt she has it as bad as she makes out. I stand by that.

And yes, I saw her handling fragile antiques without problem as a child, hence I asked people with experience of the condition if it was possible that symptoms came on in later life. A perfectly reasonable question when you see someone with symptoms they never previously displayed. Hmm

And yes, I agree that Sophie is lying about Botox.

And Louie was lying when he said he wanted to evicted.

valiumredhead · 04/09/2013 13:45

Oh yes, Louis and the fake crying in the diary room!Grin

JakeBullet · 04/09/2013 13:51

I remember Lauren handling fragile antiques as a child too. I don't think it can tell people too much about her dyspraxia though as I would imagine she would have had to be very very careful etc.

I can be very very careful with expensive stuff (although I prefer not to handle such stuff at all Grin). In every day situations though I can be very clumsy. Glasses etc are now very cheap as I drop them regularly...ditto mugs. I can also trip as well...if I make a conscious effort I can avoid it.....it's when I am going unthinkingly about my day that trips happen.

So I suspect as a child I could have done what Lauren did as a child and appeared very able but follow me round with a camera for 24 hours a day and you might get a different picture.

I have no idea if Lauren is exaggerating her symptoms or not.....why would she? There are better ways of attracting attention than falling over.

noddyholder · 04/09/2013 14:16

It is one thing to say she may be exaggerating and and another to dig around in her past trying to disprove it (hides thread)

Chipstick10 · 04/09/2013 14:22

I don't trust lauren at all. I do believe she would do just about anything. She has been campaigning for ten years to get in that house and kept failing the psych tests. How she has passed them this time I will never know. Mario has told her she has child like qualities and I believe she will play any game to get noticed. I am also gobsmacked at the amount of links people have posted of her various attempts at fame. I am almost speechless at the provocative posing, blogs, weird music videos, the list is endless. Watching her on the Keith Allen document I saw no sign of any symptoms but as I don't know enough I do stand corrected. It doesn't take away the fact that she is manipulative, self pitying, self entitled, and a right royal pain in the arse.

valiumredhead · 04/09/2013 14:32

Why is it wrong to dig around in her past?Confused

AnneEyhtMeyer · 04/09/2013 14:42

No one is digging around in her past! How is it digging around to REMEMBER her? She has been (in)famous since she was a child. She and her parents have constantly pushed her into the public eye.

She is also the one who has admitted (on TV, in this show) that she lied about her antique expertise in order to become famous and get on TV.

valiumredhead · 04/09/2013 14:53

Yes the whole family lied, so actually I wouldn't believe then if they said the sky was blue!

mrsjay · 04/09/2013 15:27

How unsurprising to see some disablism added to the general unpleasantness on this thread.

sigh not one of those symptoms said fall right down she didnt loose balance she didnt stumble she fell over nothing nobody is being disabilist toward lauren , nice to see you back feenie

mrsjay · 04/09/2013 15:31

the family are shady lauren is dillusional and manipulative obody has really dig about in her past have they it is for all to see she is obsessed with fame her parents were obsessed with fame they set their child up as some antique expert and coached their child ,we all know that , us talking about laurens past is no different to us talking about sophies past and her current drinking on Big brother or talking about Bruce's sacking from corrie and alcoholisim ,

Hello

We've received a few reports about posts on this thread, so we wanted to clarify our position on a couple of things.

First off, as we hope you all know, disablism is against our Talk Guidelines. We will delete such posts when they are reported to us. This includes posts that question the veracity of a person's diagnosis.

However, there are quite a few more posts on here that, while not questioning the truth of Lauren's dyspraxia diagnosis, do question whether she is exaggerating its effects for the benefit of the audience.

Having had a good read through, we think that these posts don't fall foul of our disablism policy. It is in the nature of programmes like CBB, after all, to encourage the audience to feel strongly about the personalities of the people in the house, and to invite speculation about their personal motives and traits - above and beyond their medical diagnoses. We think that most of the posts about Lauren's dyspraxia are doing this - discussing her possible motivation and personality, and how it might interact with her diagnosis - rather than being disparaging about her disability in itself.

As ever, though, we would appreciate it if posters could be sensitive when posting, and consider before pressing 'post' whether their post could be interpreted in a disablist light.

Do please also have a look at our This Is My Child myth-busting campaign, particularly Myth 6.

Thanks - and please don't hesitate to report anything you think we ought to look at.

and please don't hesitate to report anything you think we ought to look at.

Unfortunately, on this thread - not on others, where MN posters understand perfectly how MN works - that policy invariably invokes sneering posts about the MN police/rule books. Angry

Feenie · 04/09/2013 17:33

not one of those symptoms said fall right down she didnt loose balance she didnt stumble she fell over

I'm sorry, mrsjay - which bit of Tendency to fall, trip, bump into things and people did you have trouble understanding? Confused

I hope no one ever accuses your dd of exaggerating/inventing symptoms, or insists that she cannot possibly have it because her symptoms do not match someone else's, when the condition is known to be a spectrum . Have you looked at the campaign Rowan refers to?

Oh stop it feenieHmm

I doubt anyone will question Mrs jay's dd as she's not a fame hungry habitual liar!

Feenie · 04/09/2013 17:41

Again - I will post exactly where I like, thanks. Angry

valiumredhead · 04/09/2013 17:45

Good, as long as you don't mind others posting too.
