Doctors Addicts Anonymous Continued - Hope springs eternal

This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

Now I am hoping that:

  • Heston doesn't get together with that reptilian frozen faced tart. Instead he looks at Mrs T over a cup of Red Bush and is smitten.
  • The stalker storyline has a twist and perhaps Al comes to Jizzs' rescue. A knight in a bloody big suit of armour. She'd need a tin opener to get him out.
  • The usual people are killed off (6tl, FOD, Chris, Jimmi). We can still hope, never happens though Sad
  • We get to see TBFE in his fishing gear again. But there's a storm and he is lashed by wind and rain. Phwaaaaaor!

So regulars, please share your hopes. Any newbies/lurkers out there (there MUST be some, surely?), please join in the banter. It's a programme that is so bad, it's good.

Huzzah to more WTF storylines. Grin

A Jiz substitute. Surely there isn't enough room in the world for two!

I'm beginning to feel sorry for Al. I hope he isn't the stalker.

He's playing too good a part for me to like him. Gives me the heebie geebies.

I've just remembered about the hidden cameras Shock. Now Jiz is being nice about Al so he must be the creepy stalker.

The mothership was here so I made her watch it too, I think she is worried about me now Grin It has to be Al doesn't it ? he really reminds me of my bosses son, he would do something creepy like that and he looks the spit.

MsNo-double glamour: you dyeing your hair- whilst wearing your slippers.
The mothership !
Now my theory (well my DS's theory really) is that Al is not the stalker but he will ride to Jiz's rescue next week when Kev's on his hols.

curlyclaz13 · 09/08/2013 16:34

Maybe Kev is the stalker and is trying to frame Al Grin

Well, today,to continue the Raahh family holidays, we went to Jodrell bank. Haven't been for years- dcs very impressed by large telescope. Parents less impressed by cost of food. We did get a refund on Dh's as there was a dead fly on his chips. He's just gutted he didn't finish more of the the burger before he discovered it and took it back.GrinAnd Prof Brian Cox wasn't there, but a very lovely bloke did the talk old enoughto be his mother

Dh back at work Monday, so we've got 3 weeks of 'muuuuuum I'm bored'/bickering over Minecraft to look forward to. And dd1's birthday next Friday-she's very excited , I foresee major anti-climax.

Will catch up laterGrin

Grin at JB being shut- I didn't know it ever did!! Mind you, they don't have the planetarium anymore, due to cuts in the University funding.

Haven in Blackpool- good luckWink
We went a few of years back, even though it was Easter weekend, I have never been so cold. Dh went home in the middle of the first night to get extra duvets and an electric heater. Lucky we're not that far away. Kids enjoyed it though. We used to go to Pontins every year when I was a kid, fond memories of very long drives to Lowestoft and the Isle of Wight.Grin

I have booked the duluxe/supreme/ whatevertheycallitthatyoupayextrafor, just to ensure we have heating in the bedrooms and bathrooms.

My parents used to own a caravan in Rhyl that only had a gas fire. Grim.

I had family who lived in Lowestoft when I was a kid. Don't really remember much about it though. Do remember going on holiday to Blackpool in December though. It was freezing and not to be recommended.

If this wasn't Doctors, I'd say that Al couldn't be the stalker because they've made it too obvious. As it is Doctors, I have no idea whether he is or not. I'm not sure the script writing is up to having a twist in the tale.

We did a caravan park in Fleetwood up the road from Blackpool in October once. It was bloody freezing quite cold but luckily there was central heating in the caravan. Caravans have certainly moved on since the family holidays of my childhood.

The last time I was in Blackpool for the lights we walked back to our hotel in horizontal icy rain with sobbing DC because all the trams were full. I was brought up in the North West but had forgotten the lovely weather that comes across the Irish Sea Grin

Have a fab holiday MsN, hope you get great weather and the wasps don't follow you to Blackpool. Grin

Here's a funny 'things kids say' thing from yesterday. We were shown a pot of live leeches, in a talk about Victorian medicine. Ds went green, and said 'I ate those at the Chinese restaurant?? That's disgusting!'Shock

Turns out he meant lycheesGrin

I went to Blackpool once for a wedding and went when the lights were on. It was pouring with rain and I kept asking DH when the lights were coming on, and he kept saying "I don't know".

Eventually we asked someone as we were cold, soaked through, hungry (there seemed to be no restaurants in Blackpool, it was bizarre) and fed up. We were told they were on. I've seen better lit country roads.

I think you're lucky not to remember Lowestoft! I'm not to far away and haven't been for a while out of choice, Norfolk beaches are definitely better than Suffolk ones :)

We've been to Norwich today hunting Gorillas so missed Doctors, was just about to watch when dh suggested I wouldn't make it to the end and we should go to bed! So night night all :)
