sorting out something for dd2 to eat. She getting stroppy, so must be feeling better.

Maybe they are glasses- don't see many glasses wearers playing-(I know Billie Jean King did). i imagine they mostly wear contacts (which must be a nightmare on clay).

They look a bit odd, though.She probably has them in proper colours for other tournaments,.

I have to pop over the road to neighbour - she just rang me. Something to do with ham - I have no idea. The condition was - she had the tennis on or forget it back in 10...

I much prefer Sam to listening to Tracey Austen, or Virginia Wade. They both drive me mad.

I really enjoy Sam Smith's commentary too and her interviews ie when she is being interviewed herself. She is very insightful and gives a different perspective instead of the usual stats and inane drivel you get from Tracy Austin. Sam seems completely immersed in tennis, but she puts it across very well.

I got ham and after eight mints and a trifle! Yum...

Didn't Natalia Zvereva wear those kind of sunglasses on court? She used to play singles and then doubles with Gigi Fernandez.

She is also very balanced- I find a lot of the male commentators in particular can't even pretend to hide their bias, which really annoys me.

Dh brought ds3 home from school with his artwork, supposedly representative of the sword in the stone, but cunningly disguised as a mishapen lump of brown clay with two blue lumps on top. So I had to go and admire that, then take him (ds3 not dh) for a hair cut - very bad timing but he desperately needed one, and am NOT missing anything tomorrow. Will have to go and fetch dd soon, bloomin children.

Oh Happy, I'm not sure about Douglas Jones and Mercer, but it would make sense wouldn't it?

When I was waiting for ds to have his hair cut I picked up a newspaper in there - supposedly Annabel Croft has said of Serena "she has a huge backside" Blimey what a cheek.

I hope they schedule the Murray match at a convenient time for me tomorrow. I guess I can always listen to it on radio 5 if I'm on the motorway.

They shd schedule it last Witt if they want to capture the British working audience, but who knows? Does Vassos comment on radio 5, and if so, is he good?

Well, I was looking forward to getting home from work and settling down with strawberries and the Bahrami/Laconte match. No strawberries and no play on the outside courts.
