Thought we'd have a new thread for today.

It is raining cats and dogs (technical term) here in theNorth West- I am not very hopeful of a full days play at Wimbledon. but fingers crossed. The weather bloke last night today would be 'Frustrating Friday'in terms of play. Fond of alliteration, those Wimbledon types.

My red button did not work last night either and my laptop died the death of too much Mn-ing.

I am off to find out what time it all kicks off today as I have to get my Nan (94 so telling her to get the bus is not on) And take her to my mothers where she is stopping till Monday.
Its really lovely here, sunny wise - but South Wales... We have had torrential rain and storms before now when tennis at Wimbledon has been drenched in hot sunshine. badkitten Does the weather generally come from us to London?

By the way - my 20 year old declared us all insane and completely without lives last night. Because of tennis and forum chatting about tennis while watching tennis... All together. But separately. Yeah, that's what he said. I retorted, of course I do not have a life - Huh, you and your sisters stole it from me in the year 1991 when first born came then you then the shitface.... Give it back immediately - move out! I can pack a bag in under 40 seconds and its handily just under the stairs by the door... He laughed and patted my head as if I were an errant dog.

Oooooh Laura Robson is on Court 2 today. Not sure what I'd think of that if I had centre court or court 1 tickets.

Anyone have any idea of order of play? I may actually get to watch a decent amount today. I've only really managed to watch one full match so far... been rather busy for some reason.

Aaaaaargh Summer Fayre hell today! 12pm until I die (so about 12:15)

Can't believe I am going to miss hours of Wimbledon, including Laura's match AND I am going to miss the Grand Prix qualifying

I don't know why I ever had children!

SATURDAY ORDER OF PLAY

Bit late today- and I'll miss loads too, due to the stupid village festival-and the field will be a swamp after the rain yesterday .

Am counting on the 2 matches on court 1 (why hasn't Ferrer been on centre) taking long enough for me to get back to see David.

Some really interesting looking match ups, which could/should be classics.
Haas/Lopez, Haas inamazing form at the moment. And Gulbis/Verdasco.

Fleming/Marray in the doubles too.

And I forgot Tomic/Gasquet, 1pm on centre- that should be good, if Tomic can keep his temper.

Is Laura Robsons match not being televised? She's on now isn't she.

And I would love kimiko to beat serena. I'd actually trade a murray win for that if it was up to me.

Laura is second on court 2- I imagine it will be televised, but it's Troicki/Youzhny first, and that might be long-ish.

And yes it would be brilliant if Kimiko beat Serena!

Morning all. I too have no life, and I like it that way!

My man is on court 12 today, sincerely hope they show it or I will have nasty withdrawal pains.

House nice and quiet at minute as dh and two ds's out watching Lions, dd out shopping and ds3 playing with friend. I expect this state of affairs to last precisely until a match I reeally want to watch begins!

To those of us village-fete-ing or doing other domestic duties - hope all runs smoothly and you're all back in time for the important business of the day

My Nan is safely deposited in mothers house. She has her slippers on, her Mills & Boon by her side along with Maltesers and giant Kit Kats. She's sent my mother out to buy her knickers and she is happy.
I am home.
I am switching on Telly and going to have to organise my tall bookshelf thing while I wait for Robson to begin as, we all know, I can't sit still and have to be doing something.
Oh - dd of the elder variety is giving me a massage now, I really have hurt my shoulders in sleep last night

I've been out this morning, bought a new bedside table and a cushion, done two loads of washing and got it dry, mowed the lawn and had a Caesar salad with homemade dressing.

I am now going to slump.
