Thought we'd have a new thread for today.

It is raining cats and dogs (technical term) here in theNorth West- I am not very hopeful of a full days play at Wimbledon. but fingers crossed. The weather bloke last night today would be 'Frustrating Friday'in terms of play. Fond of alliteration, those Wimbledon types.

Ivan Lendl's pretty much sorted that out for him. There was a point where I thought he'd never win a slam, which would have been a huge waste of his talent.

I think he has overcome it though. He cocked up a few shots there (more than a few) but there was none of the stomping around the baseline swearing under his breathe that he's been guilty of in the past. He was very focussed.

I'm now watching the Magnus opus that is Wimbeldon starring Paul bettany.

Chub- Wimbledon was a terrible film(made Dh watch it)though I love Paul Bettany.

Still has a bit of a tendency to lose concentration, but you can really tell the difference in his attitude when he end up a set down.

I LOVE IT.

It's my biggest guilty pleasure. Paul bettany and James mcavoy? It's just ace.

Clay-definitely, he did that even as recently as his final at Queen's.

There's just no atmosphere....

Foot fault- that will annoy him. Edberg used to get a lot of those, curse of the serve/volleyer i guess.
