Anyone else ridiculously excited?

I know Philippa Gregory's books tend to be a bit Barbara Cartland in places, and I hope the BBC havent increased it, but I still cannot wait to watch it.

Or DotComtheConfuddled

Tunip should be TunipTheSwoonful

ok pretty sure swoonful is a made up word but how satisfying is it?! And Tunip is always fainting when there is any kind of mild peril.

courgetteDOTcom · 03/07/2013 19:17

I now have the song a swoonful of sugar in my head! Confused Blush Grin

I think Harry is the dead spit of his dad actually! All this Charles isn't his father stuff is just rubbish!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 03/07/2013 21:13

I've just read a novel which suggests that Henry II might have been the son if Stephen, not Geoffrey. Anyone know if there's actually and historical suggestion behind this or is it just poetic license?

I don't think Charles could deny either of his sons but I still think Harry is a Spencer.

I've been picked out by strangers as being the child of both my parents. Not even in a context "I saw your daughter at a bus stop" from someone who didn't know if Mum had children, also had "who's your dad? You're the double of Joy!" (my aunt who died childless) My uncle goes on too much about how like my aunt I am and he can't see Mum's side at all. So I think you can be very both sides.

I think Harry looks very much like Charles facially and William like Diana

Laqueen I suppose your mum wants you to look like her. My DS looks alot like my sister more than her own children.

Trills · 04/07/2013 09:13

I have enjoyed the historical discussion on this thread, but I just want to say that Jasper Tudor is the best looking of the men on the show. Much less boyband than king Edward.

And doesn't Richard (youngest brother of king Edward) look creepy?

I don't know either LaQueen and I may be totally wrong. Does she get on with her sister. does her sister look nothing like your mum.

courgetteDOTcom · 04/07/2013 10:23

my mum seems to be the mold in our family, three kids all the double of her, even my my brother. no one can tell mum, my sister and I apart on the phone, even my husband Hmm

courgetteDOTcom · 04/07/2013 10:24

trills that may be to do with the later storyline with him and Elizabeth of York

I never really thought about how alike DD and I are till three of her teachers one parents night correctly identified me in the corridor lineup.
I went home quite excitedly to tell DH, he replied "durr".

Will probably watch the next episode tomorrow, But I am a bit worried for my safety as last week I nearly died laughing , when I heard; Not Once but twice, the very modern and I think American Phrase "I'm sorry for your loss" GrinGrinGrin Totally innapropriate

Trills · 07/07/2013 17:42

What may be to do with later storyline? Jasper's hotness or Richard's creepiness?

Trills · 07/07/2013 17:42

Richard looks like Ramsay Bolton/Snow. Not that we should judge a book by its cover.

courgetteDOTcom · 07/07/2013 20:53

Richard's creepiness - do you know/ want to know who he nearly married?

courgetteDOTcom · 07/07/2013 21:55

Is that a cardboard crown?

KnockMeDown · 07/07/2013 22:00

Well, I thought that was fab - I was on the edge of my seat! Can't wait till next week !!!!!!!!!!!!
