With the best will in the world, I really don't think Kia Ora is going to save anything.

I always have a bottle of cassis in the cupboard to rescue horrible cheap white wine. Classy, me!

It is a blackcurrant liqueur, Sole. Basically an alcoholic blackcurrant squash.

In Champagne it makes a Kir Royale, but I use it because hideously cheap white wine is made drinkable with it. And I am guessing it would probably do the same job in cider.

I agree, it is much better this year. I didn't watch at all last year, as the year before was dire and for a few years it was just z-list wannabes.
