how can i complain to CBBC about something in a programme?

googled cbbc, sent me to bbc complaints, but theres only 1 that says its for serious complaints, and that's it.

its serious enough for me to complain about it but not earth shattering as far as theyd be concerned...not that they ever are so really don't know why im bothering.

or can anyone put a link here I can go into?

why can't you use the bbc one? cbbc is part of the bbc?

Thanx nextphase have done it now. couldn't find that before.

lets see if they sort it out and not make their usual lame excuses!!!

Ive only ever complained once before years ago about something else on pre-watershed, never for a kids programme!

its not earth shattering but there was a line in Strange Hill high cartoon today that actually made me gasp!

Ad I think fuck it, if you don't think it's on then go ahead and complain Smile I mean, I might think differently if you were stampeding round raging about how terrible it is, but I don't think there's any harm in flagging up something you're not happy with.

okay then you might think this is lame of me, Im no nun, but it was a scene in a kids cartoon, (yes aimed at teens but....) and the teachers were looking for something in the school cupboards and they opened one and there was a boy sitting in it and the teacher commented

''Boy's guarding his privates with his text book''.

I just did a double take...did they really say that? but yes.

I know they tackle ''issues'' (for want of a better word!!!!) on certain programmes but this was on a kids cartoon, and it wasn't south park.

Someone said the word privates in a teen cartoon? I think even Mary Whitehouse herself would have struggled to take offence at that!

as in touching himself in the cupboard with book in front to hide what he was doing? the visual was effective enough too.

DC was asking what the boy was doing!

Suggesting he was touching himself? Sorry I still dont get the offensive bit, obviously we are all different but I agree, i find it hard to believe many people would take offense at that

it just got to me and I felt the need to address it.

someone asked what it was I complained about so I said.

sorry if it seems twee to some people and maybe im just old fashioned, but a cartoon character masturbating that's on childrens tv (okay, not exactly cbeebies) even though it wasn't exactly graphic still was enough to bug me.

its just a personal thing that got me and even if im the only one that's complained then fine. im not offended by it, just shocked really.

and yes theres a lot more things kids are subjected to on tv, what with almost porno music videos and violence and stuff, to me personally it was not for kids tv in the middle of the day.

It's the first and possibly last episode I'd watched and things were getting stolen including the boy in question's pants. He covered himself with a text book and hid in a locker. Later someone opened the locker on a search and found him there with book still in place.

You weren't worried about the headteacher wandering around in his underpants? Or that whatever the kids name was was subjected to accusations with no proof other than he'd been bad at a previous school?

It's the last episode we'll watch because it was poor quality, not because of any one part of the content.

I was only half-watching it and happened to glance at it at that moment and heard what the teacher said. switched channel over after that.

if so, oh well! the beeb can have a laff at my expense! it was a moment I caught that and thought 'that' was going on!!!

apart from ROY and bear behaving badly, CBBC is usually quite good.

I can see why you'd think that if you just caught that snapshot. I endured watched the whole thing as my DDs are younger and DD1 is on the boarder between CBeebies and CBBC and I vet their viewing.

It was dire though. I could back up your complaint with one saying that it was neither entertaining nor educational and has no place on that channel.
