This is a thread for all fans of the weekday third rate soap Doctors. BBC1, 1.45pm.

I know in the last thread I said it was a second rate soap, but I've downgraded it to third rate given the recent lack of WTF storylines. Come on scriptwriters, stop being so seri-arse!

Regulars: The lovely Mrs T has her bob wig on and is waiting to sign you at the desk.
Newbies: All welcome. Join in the banter, ask any questions, we have verrrrrrrrry many experts on this thread. Smile

Oh, and a small favour to ask. Can someone kill Emma off please? Fankyouverymuch Grin

Have you disappeared, MsN.

This storyline is totally unbelievable. No way would her dad be pleased she is pregnant.

OodPi · 10/06/2013 14:12

'Can't believe they pay people to write this'

Mrs T has some cracking lines Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 10/06/2013 14:13

I am totally behind now due to a phonecall. Bloomin' phone calls at Doctors time. Gah!

I am enjoying the Hestembe-Gobby household scenario though.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 10/06/2013 14:16

Oh tomorrow looks good!

Yes, Who, the Hestembe-Plod house-sharing is comedy gold!

MsNobodyAgain · 10/06/2013 14:20

at the name MrsT has on her head tomorrow Grin

Priceless.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 10/06/2013 14:21

Even funnier that Gobby was Socrates!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 10/06/2013 14:22

The bride was very beautiful. I can't believe the wedding went ahead, can't believe she was stupid enough to leave the test in the bin. Can't believe the fiance got over his shock in about 10 mins and the father was Ok about it all. Nonsense. WTF in fact!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 10/06/2013 14:25

Who - In the words of Mrs T "I can't believe they pay people to write this". Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 10/06/2013 14:27

I can't believe we watch it!

OP posts:
curlyclaz13 · 10/06/2013 15:00

The bride was gorgeous ! another wtf story with the father being so happy and the groom not being bothered. What doctors does home visits for a sick bride ?!

toldmywrath · 10/06/2013 15:18

The script writers are having a laugh at our expense .Can't believe it's not better butter.
FWIW, when I bought my first house (previous owners had cats) I had to have it fumigated(cost me nowt-the local council did it, even though I was owner ie not renting from the council) I was never troubled by cat fleas again.

toldmywrath · 10/06/2013 18:45

Oh dear I seem to have scared people away- you can't catch anything from me you know (&if you did, you could always ask for a home visit Grin )

MsNobodyAgain · 10/06/2013 19:05

Grin told

It reminds me of a RL story I've buried deep in my memory. In my very early 20's I got a cat. It got fleas. I was horrified but told the MD where I worked, just in passing. Over the next few hours every time I entered the office everyone started scratching.

It went on for hours. Each member of staff saying to the other "are you itchy as well?". I.was.mortified.

I eventually fled to the loos in tears, sobbing I had infested everyone and dying of shame. It was only after that the MD confessed it was all a wind up and apologised to me in front of the whole office.

Blush Blush Blush

I hate cats.

OP posts:
toldmywrath · 10/06/2013 20:31

Oh dear MsNo how cruel of them.
I, ahem, love cats. If you have cats, then the fleas don't bother you (our cats are given a spot on treatment every 4weeks, so no problems here)
If, however, the cats move out then the fleas start drinking from the human Shock

MsNobodyAgain · 10/06/2013 20:58

Ewwwwww!

OP posts:
Raahh · 11/06/2013 11:37

missed it yesterday, ended up at A and E with dd1, who has kidney infection. First day back at school!

Anyway, trying to catch up. Definitely need to move to Letherbridge- wedding visits, ffs!! And from 2-3 symptoms, Jimmi decided she was pregnant andd just happened to have a test in his pocketGrin
Poor Mrs T,bumping into the Rev.

Raahh · 11/06/2013 11:43

Shock @ your fleas/work story MsN- evil gits!! I hate cats too.
My mil had at least 7, it was always hard to tell which were hers, and which were interlopers. I really didn't like visiting. Never got fleas, just covered in sodding stinky hairs.Grin

hides from Sparkling

and why is Jimmi at the wedding??

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/06/2013 11:48

Hope DD is feeling better today Raah. I'm back at hospital with DS at the fracture clinic today, waiting, waiting and more waiting. Hoping he doesn't need his broken arm pinned. He's starving as we were instructed nil by mouth from 6am just in case.

Raahh · 11/06/2013 11:51

Heston means business- no bow tie!

How lovely of Juuuuuuuliaaa to let everyone stay at her house? But why can't Heston go home? I really want fish and chips now...

totally ridiculous that all ended happily ever after with the wedding, though! The father would have disowned her really, surely? And yes,the bride was stunning.

'Boyband looks'

Raahh · 11/06/2013 11:53

Who- that's rubbish, we were lucky really, the local children's A and E is pretty good. Fingers crossed pinning isn't needed.

Raahh · 11/06/2013 11:57

The comments about watching soaps were very ironicGrin

the kids comment was below the belt...

Raahh · 11/06/2013 11:57

OMG you can danceGrin

MsNobodyAgain · 11/06/2013 12:00

I wondered where you were Raahh stalker alert Grin

Hope your DD recovers soon. And who fingers crossed for no pinning.

I am about to venture into the hell that is iTunes as I promised DD I would update her library. I may be some time. Sad
