This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm.

Regulars, please sign in at reception. Mrs T is verrrrrrry insistent. Any newbies that want to join and admit they watch this second rate soap are welcome too. The more the merrier.

So:

  • Zara and Daniel: will they get back together or won't they?
  • TBFE and 6tl: will it happen? If it does, that's going to be a switch off moment for me.
  • The lovely Mrs T and the Rev: Please don't let him be a serial killer.
  • Al, Kev, Jas and Heston: they need some action scriptwriters. Get on the case.
  • Jimmi and FOD: Meh! Couldn't care less really.

Enjoy the banter, it is often better than the programme Grin

an army themed episode. Zara falling over was funny, though( evil)

Raahh · 07/05/2013 14:15

That's about tomorrow, btw- not today!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 07/05/2013 14:36

Jimmi ought to report 6TL for this, she's leaning on him to persuade a witness to withdraw her statement.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 07/05/2013 20:27

Just watched. When oh when will they get rid of 6tl? Maybe she will end up in prison for attempting to intimidate a witness (via Jimmi)?

Roy Hudd was good again. Sadly he is such a memorable actor I just kept on remembering the last time he was in it.

Looking forward to seeing Zara fall over tomorrow, but not the boring army story.

Raahh · 07/05/2013 20:34

It is silly when the really memorable ones return.

Off course, 6tl's previous 5 outings were far from memorableGrin

cinnamongreyhound · 07/05/2013 21:38

I had to laugh at Zara falling over too Blush and at MrsT cleaning the door as tbfe came out of his office Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 07/05/2013 22:21

Might watch todays when I get home then. Not that I have it on series link or anything Blush

Anne they don't hire TVs out sadly.

Was also thinking of babyood. X

Hope all ok.

Oh don't bother with today's, MsN, Zara falling over is tomorrow's.

Can't believe they don't hire out TVs! Shock Hmmm... maybe that's a business opportunity. They would have to automatically switch to BBC1 at 1.45pm though.

shebangsthedrum · 08/05/2013 13:33

Hi all just found this thread yesterday, so thought I would chip in. One question. Why do you call Emma 6tl and that one you call bellamy?

Raahh · 08/05/2013 13:46

Hello, and welcome!

We call the Emma 6TL, because prior to being cast as Emma, she'd had small roles 5 times before- so this is 6th Time Lucky for a proper job.Grin

Howard bellamy is played byian Kelsey, who used to be in Emmerdale- hence
TBFE-The Bloke From Emmerdale.

Our acronyms do run away with themselvesBlush
Will miss live today- hope to catch up later.

Raahh · 08/05/2013 13:47

i really should get my space bar fixed!

cinnamongreyhound · 08/05/2013 14:20

6tl changed her tune today!!

Glad Zara has finally owned up about leaving Daniel alone with Joe.

Army storyline wasn't bad :)

Now catching up on Once Upon a Time!

toldmywrath · 08/05/2013 14:41

Just watched yesterday's Roy Hudd one-he's lost weight I think.I really like him for some reason.

Sorry to hear your in hospital again MsNo & that you are missing the top notch sh%! TV that is Doctors.
Hope babyOod is doing well.
Yes he did sound Welsh today!

toldmywrath · 08/05/2013 14:41

Not your but you're (!)

Oodsigma · 08/05/2013 17:41

Hope you're ok msn and catching up on rest!

Babyood is a lot better but having cannula trouble (10 failed attempts in 2 days ) so having some huge injections daily. Plus side of this is that we may get home earlier but come back daily. They just aren't quite as good at bug killing although he's not got worse since he's been on them. Am getting scared of going home though.

Watched today's BAH and didn't grip me at all.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 08/05/2013 19:36

Glad to hear BabyOod is on the mend, Ood.

Haven't watched today's yet, but DH is about to watch some football so I expect I'll watch it on iPlayer shortly.

Raahh · 09/05/2013 11:01

Glad to hear babyOod is improving, Ood - still haven't watched yesterday's.

Am totally thrown by the Bank holiday and don't know what day is is. (it doesn't take muchConfusedGrin)

readyforno2 · 09/05/2013 14:43

Glad to hear about babyood.
Have just caught up after a few days. Zara's looking really old and haggered isn't she? I'm really bored of the whole story line.

mrsdevalle · 09/05/2013 16:32

I'm a bit stunned at how easily everyone seems to have got over Mrs Tembe and her 2 faced, hypocritical, lying behaviour. What she did was awful and surely if she fled back to Botswana after the racism stuff last year, she would have known what her homophobia had caused ? She's the first one to pull everyone up on being a good Christian and doing the right and honest thing. Turns out she's worse than most of the people she has a go at.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 09/05/2013 16:47

Missed today's again. Have to say I too was shocked at the hypocritical character of Mrs T that has been revealed. I will try and watch tonight.

cinnamongreyhound · 09/05/2013 17:35

I can see why she did what she did but agree she's a bit too judgemental of others considering her past.

I enjoyed today's, looking forward to Zaniel in counselling!! Kevin is beginning to be less annoying. It annoyed me that the rubbish police woman could see the bloke she's accused of rapes fb page, clearly she would be well and truely blocked!!!!

On an aside Ian Kelsey is on loose women tomorrow :)

AnneEyhtMeyer · 09/05/2013 17:51

Mrs Tembe is lovely, charitable, thoughtful and caring. It is hardly surprising her colleagues are forgiving considering her husband lied to her, shamed her and ruined her chances of having a family.

She isn't homophobic, she reacted with hostility to a man who married her without telling her he was gay. Perfectly understandable behaviour. Not the nicest thing to do, but I think I would probably feel the same, and I don't live in a society where divorce is nigh-on impossible.

She lied about it because she was ashamed.

I think the Rev behaved terribly. He clearly didn't really love her.

Haven't seen today's yet. Can't possibly watch Loose Women as it brings me out in hives. You'll have to tell me what he says, Cinnamon.

Oh and MsN is out of hospital and is being looked after by her family. Smile. Fingers crossed she will soon be well again.

Raahh · 09/05/2013 19:26

well, I seem to have not recorded yesterday's, though I don't think I missed muchGrin
Today's is pretty BAH too. And I'm sick of the police stuff.

Raahh · 09/05/2013 19:27

And I love Mrs T,and think that for all her busy- bodyness, she means well, and this story line is a bit 'plucked out of nowhere'.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 09/05/2013 20:06

I can see why Mrs T did what she did, in leaving her husband, but to be honest I have never liked her very much with all her bossy pious ways. I can see why the vicar had to leave her, he just couldn't be in a relationship with a married woman. Disclaimer - I have missed a lot of episodes lately so not fully au fait with all the details but I did see the one where she had it all out with her STBXH.

Is there any indication that the policewoman is fabricating the rape charge BTW?

Glad to hear MsN is out of hospital again.
