This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm.

Regulars, please sign in at reception. Mrs T is verrrrrrry insistent. Any newbies that want to join and admit they watch this second rate soap are welcome too. The more the merrier.

So:

  • Zara and Daniel: will they get back together or won't they?
  • TBFE and 6tl: will it happen? If it does, that's going to be a switch off moment for me.
  • The lovely Mrs T and the Rev: Please don't let him be a serial killer.
  • Al, Kev, Jas and Heston: they need some action scriptwriters. Get on the case.
  • Jimmi and FOD: Meh! Couldn't care less really.

Enjoy the banter, it is often better than the programme Grin

Doesn't Al have a finger print from when he helped him.

Raahh · 30/04/2013 14:05

and the neighbour won't help, because he won't support their speed bump petition.

Raahh · 30/04/2013 14:06

never say no to a rock cake, Al.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/04/2013 14:07

Sorry Raahh missed your prescription post. I would have been fuming, good on your dh!

His neighbour seems like a miserable old cow tbh.

Raahh · 30/04/2013 14:08

the neighbours are all a bit bizarreConfused

cinnamongreyhound · 30/04/2013 14:10

Rock cake was my nan's speciality, don't think I've had one since she died.

Raahh · 30/04/2013 14:12

Oodsigma · 30/04/2013 14:54

Thanks everyone. Am considering paying for tv if we are going to be in for 2 weeks but will the nurses laugh at me watching Doctors & holby/casualty? Blush

Babyood is getting better, Dr happy with his progress
but unless they can identify the strain they treat for 2 weeks so will find out tonight if we are here until 12 th May :( hopefully from Thirsday or Friday we can leave the room and dds can visit. Have seen dd3 briefly in the corridor but haven't seen dd1/2 since Friday. We've all been treated now as precaution
Had a RL Doctors moment when my GP phoned the hospital to see how I was and spoke to the Paeds about DS.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/04/2013 20:40

Glad to hear BabyOod is getting better. I'm Shock that your GP phoned the hospital! Are you at St Phil's??

Raahh - I'd be raging if I were you. I can imagine this happening at my surgery to be honest, though, so I get them to do 6 months of prescriptions at a time, and then I leave those at the chemist and go in and collect one a month. I also like this because it makes me feel like I am a spy talking in code when I go in to the chemist and say "Hello, I'm in the drawer". Other people in the queue always look at me like this: Hmm

Just watched today's. Poor Mrs T. She thinks the Rev is going to take her back, she doesn't realise she's been dumped. I am gutted, she deserves to be happy.

Enjoyed the Al storyline today. I am not looking forward to the FOD one tomorrow. She is turning into Juuuuliaaa the way she knows everyone in Letherbridge.

Oodsigma · 30/04/2013 22:08

We do go to a v small GP practice ( was 1.5 Drs now almost 3) and go quite a lot. This GP has been dealing with my SPD/AND/PND and saw DS on Friday when he had a rash ( like heat rash) but no other symptoms. She was the one who advised on temperatures etc which made us keep getting him checked. She is also currently only partner as one is off sick. So not just any old GP but they are a v caring practice. One of the receptionists cheered when she saw me after DS was born and I only had one crutch!

Raahh · 01/05/2013 12:04

Ok- another rant about my doctors surgery (feel free to ignore)Grin

So, we wrote a strongly worded letter to the practice manager about my prescription cock-up- dh handed it in last night before they shut.
They couldn't get hold of me, and 'the practice manager' spoke to dh, all apologetic, asked me to ring. Her name is Lorraine. I thought this was odd, as the woman i was complaining about was Lorraine. I told dh to speak to her, as phones make me stressed.

Anyway- quick look at their website and Lorraine is the head receptionist (i.e the cow who was unhelpful yesterday), not the PM, who the letter was clearly addressed to. So we're even more annoyed now that she has dealt with the complaint, which was about HER, talking to dh as if she is TBFE in female formAngry. Dh has just said he is going in to speak to her....

I'm going to have to change Doctors, aren't I Sad

Anyway- I hope BabyOod is still improving today, and MsN, you'd better be looking after yourself

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/05/2013 13:05

Oh Raahh I bet she opens all the post and has intercepted the letter before it gets to the Practice Manager! What a cow!

I would go in and demand to speak to the PM and tell them you are concerned that the receptionist is pretending to be the PM and you don't believe your complaint is being taken seriously. Bring her down!

How is BabyOod today? Any news?

Raahh · 01/05/2013 13:29

Anne- Dh spoke to her in person, and let her know that she often comes across as very rude (I've had a previous issue where she made me move dd1, who was 6 months at the time, as dd was crying too loudly and she could hear herself on the phoneHmmI ended up in tears in the nurses office, and wouldn't go back for 6 months). That's just one of many examples. The pm is writing to me, apparently.

She knew who I was - I'm the short oneHmm- and she said to dh it must be difficult for me to see in the window, being only 4ft 10. Shock

I'm 4ft 8, actually. But she is still a cowGrin

Raahh · 01/05/2013 13:47

and missing today liveSad

Oodsigma · 01/05/2013 14:12

Shock Angry for you raah is changing an option?

Babyood is still improving. They tried to get a line in his leg to avoid repeat canulas but it didn't work as his veins are too tiny.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 01/05/2013 14:37

Glad to hear BabyOod is improving.

Raahh - I would be fuming too, how totally unprofessional.

Did anyone watch todays? I had it on on the Ipad whilst cleaning the DCs bedroom, so may have missed some details, but it was worth watching for the scenes between Mr and Mrs T, the FOD story wasn't too bad either. The police storyline rumbles along in the background, 6TL is getting sucked in.

cinnamongreyhound · 01/05/2013 16:46

That is awful Raahh, if you don't get a decent apology from the practice manager you should take it further. It is not on for her to be impersonating her boss to try and get away with her unacceptable behaviour and mistake. If you are otherwise happy with your surgery I would stay put. And to comment on your personal appearance, she has no shame!!!

I watched but on my phone so couldn't comment here at same time. I thought the parts between mr and mrs T were very good, nice to see that despite the hurt they'd caused each other they could forgive and actually wish each other the best. I don't understand her lie but if Rev really loved her he would forgive her, it was good that he sent her to apologise as it did her a lot of good.

I like a happy ending so FOD story was good too :)

AnneEyhtMeyer · 01/05/2013 16:47

I would complain and complain ad complain about her, Raahh. WTF has your bloody height got to do with it? And why would she make personal remarks about anyone??

Good news about BabyOod! Shame about the line though. So do you know if you are going to be there for two weeks yet?

Haven't watched today's yet, Who, had to take DD to her swimming lesson. Would like to see 6tl get sucked into a drain and disappear forever, though.

Oodsigma · 01/05/2013 17:24

They've decided to do throat swabs to see if that helps but it's looking like a 2 week job.

Am instructing dh on downloading from I player. Anything worth watching on Doctors or shall I just read the spoilers/this thread?
