This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap Doctors, BBC1, 1.45pm.

Regulars, please sign in at reception. Mrs T is verrrrrrry insistent. Any newbies that want to join and admit they watch this second rate soap are welcome too. The more the merrier.

So:

  • Zara and Daniel: will they get back together or won't they?
  • TBFE and 6tl: will it happen? If it does, that's going to be a switch off moment for me.
  • The lovely Mrs T and the Rev: Please don't let him be a serial killer.
  • Al, Kev, Jas and Heston: they need some action scriptwriters. Get on the case.
  • Jimmi and FOD: Meh! Couldn't care less really.

Enjoy the banter, it is often better than the programme Grin

Doctors is the only soap I watch, watched hollyoaks from the beginning until about a year ago and just could stand anymore of Brendan and the new irritating students (had previously given them time and got used to them!). Doctors makes me laugh and doesn't have the totally depressing storylines of other soaps. My mum is a soap fan so watched them all until I left home and occasionally watch a Sunday omnibus.

I love Karen, she was being really nosey today but in a kind way. Did think she pushed it to far but then how would we have found out about MrT? Kev is growing on me but I still don't like Jizz.

I'm watching the ice cream girls, better be good I'm missing Patrick Jayne for this!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 19/04/2013 22:15

I've just been catching up on Neighbours. Been excellent this past couple of weeks.

I realise admitting I watch Neighbours does nothing for my reputation, but I have none anyway.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 19/04/2013 22:31

I haven't watched it for years (Neighbours that is), did get back into it during both mat. leaves but they were 9 and 7 years ago now.

Corrie and Doctors only for me now, I used to watch Corrie, EE, Emmerdale, Brookie, Home and Away and Neighbours when the British ones were only on twice a week each, and I was young and single and had lots of free time and before the internet absorbed most of my waking hours

AnneEyhtMeyer · 19/04/2013 22:36

I still fancy Paul. Blush

You can tell I've had a few glasses of wine now that I'm in a confessional mode!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 19/04/2013 22:42

How many times has he been married now? I dipped in again a couple of years ago and he was just about to get married again but I think Lyn Skully (?) put the boot in or something

AnneEyhtMeyer · 19/04/2013 22:49

Is it 4 times? Don't think he actually married Lyn in the end, but maybe he did? There was Terry, Gail, Chrissie and Rebecca I think. Did he marry Rebecca? It's all a bit hazy. He had had loads of flings too.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 19/04/2013 22:50

Gail and Chrissie were my era. I need to go to bed.....

AnneEyhtMeyer · 19/04/2013 22:52

Just checked and he did marry Lyn, so that makes 5. Shock

Night night Who.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 20/04/2013 00:14

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/04/2013 07:01

Oh no, what's going to happen

Was :( yesterday. I quite like TRev, bless.

I don't really watch many other soaps, apart from HolbyCasualty. I used to watch Neighbours, Home and Away, EE, Corrie, Brookside but gradually stopped bothering. Doctors is King. Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 20/04/2013 11:37

mad check out Digital Spy for the details. I try not to post too specific details as some people on here like to be surprised.

Raahh · 20/04/2013 14:35

cinnamongreyhound · 20/04/2013 20:11

It's :( but annoying! Was going to say what I thought but then thought again it might ruin it for others!

readyforno2 · 20/04/2013 23:34

Have just caught up with Thursdays and Fridays episodes.
Then, read the spoilers I know it's Saturday night I have no life
Poor Mrs T. It was never going to work out was it?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 21/04/2013 08:09

I'm really hoping it is just going to be a blip and that he'll come to his senses and Mrs T will forgive him for being an arse (although I wouldn't).

Or maybe Heston will comfort her and there will finally be Hestembe!

cinnamongreyhound · 21/04/2013 08:21

I obviously have very different opinions, surely its whether he forgives her?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 21/04/2013 08:27

Hmmm... well I think her reasons for not telling the truth are pretty forgivable. I'm not condoning lying, but I think from the sound of it he doesn't ask for explanations, more just immediately ends things. If he loves her wouldn't he try to listen to her reasons and understand why she did what she did? I think she only lied because she was so ashamed.

cinnamongreyhound · 21/04/2013 08:44

She really had no reason to be ashamed. I will watch to see how its all done but I agree he could and should listen to her explanations. Can also see how he'd be hurt, she's not who he thought she was.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 21/04/2013 09:23

Puts him in a very awkward position professionally speaking though.

Raahh · 21/04/2013 09:57

I'm a bitAngry with this storyline, especially as in the 2 years Mrs T has been there, there has been no inkling there was a 'past'. Plus, she went back to Botswana after all the racism stuff with her neighbours. She wouldn't have done that if there were problems she was running away from 'back home', would she?

forgets that continuity is not strong point of DoctorsGrin

I'd much rather they'd gone with our theory that the Rev is dodgy- and had a secret wife and family hidden in his attic, or something.Grin
