Telly addicts

Masterchef Australia - I am not the only addict am I? Please someone else come and talk to me about the hysterical theme tune at least.

I have got the theme tune ringing around my head.

I love it. It is far more exciting than the english version imo. The challenges are a lot better.

It's a bit annoying in that in that exasperating 'let's recap what you have just seen in case you have forgotten' sense but it's good fun.

The judges are equally grouchy and matey (I do like a grumpy Australian man).

I love Masterchef Australia. So much better than uk version. The challenges are brilliant. I especially like the ones when they are abroad and split into pairs, run madly around finding ingredients and running to different location to cook food.

The most recent version was all the winners, runners up and 2-3 other people from each year since it had started. They were winning money for charity. Not as good as normal version but lovely to see some familiar faces back.

It was grim at the time, but she's 11 now and a distant memory, it doesn't bother me any more.

Am I missing something? I can only see Masterchef NZ on watch. Masterchef Aus only finished a couple of months ago over here.

We watched that one too Moosey, I am still totally in love with Chris Badenoch.
I had planned to cook his half a crispy pig's head for Christmas dinner but had a bit of a nightmare with being ill and sorting out my new house. I moved on January 3rd.
I'm planning on it at some point though, it looked amazing, as did all of his food.
His book is only available in Australia though which is a pain.

I don't know what series it is. It's the first MC aus I have watched (after devouring a MC NZ in one weekend a few months ago, I loved the judge with the black geeky glasses).

I love MC Australia, glad I've found other addicts! It looks like the NZ version (series 3) is starting tonight on Watch, going by the blurb on Sky - does that make sense? Can't wait for the next Australia series, I think it's this summer (well, Australian winter but you know what I mean)

Moosey, he doesn't do fiddly or desserts, though can if he has to, he loves Asian cooking and is really into meat.
He advocates using the whole animal.
He's everything I am, just a few more years down the line, I'm trying to get into cooking with more offal, love Asian food and don't do desserts, DD is the dessert maker/baker in our house.
Also he's hotGrin

DH bought me Maggie Beer's new book. I love her. First saw her in The Cook and the Chef when we lived in NZ. I hadn't realised how popular she was until I saw her on Oz Masterchef. She really is a lovely lady. And her cooking is divine

I hope they show the Junior one, DD would love it.
My cousin is a chef and said he would help DD in anyway he can if she wants to get into it (He works for the place who sponsor Dinner date if anyone watches) but I fear it's just me projecting.
