Another crime murder whodunnit set in....................Shetland!

Douglas Henshall is the copper and the scenery looks stunning, really looking forward to this.

Please be good.

Looking forward to this also.

Although after the tripe that was Mayday...

Still, at least there will be Douglas Henshall the scenery to make it worthwhile.

LittleAbruzzenBear · 08/03/2013 11:16

I will be watching! Scenery looks stunning doesn't it.

Sugarice · 08/03/2013 11:51

I know, there can't be another duffer of a series as bad as that , can there? Hmm.

LittleAbruzzenBear · 08/03/2013 12:10

It could be bad, but they like to get our hopes up with these ads. Smile

scampadoodle · 08/03/2013 17:09

The books it's based on are really good, and it's Douglas Henshall not David Tennant as was once mooted - yay!

legohamster · 09/03/2013 09:38

It will clash with Broadchurch on Monday night, will be interesting to see which one comes out on top.

BehindLockNumberNine · 09/03/2013 22:07

Very much looking forward to it, can't wait!!

Sugarice · 10/03/2013 21:15

Love it, just like wallander!

OP posts:
PirateHat · 10/03/2013 21:20

Looks nice doesn't it? Accents are wrong though.

Highlander · 10/03/2013 21:36

Sandy has a western isles accent.

PirateHat · 10/03/2013 21:42

Yeah they seem to be doing "Scottish" of varying types, which is nothing like how Shetland people speak.

I am also loving the Shetland facts they are crowbarring into the script. Can't wait to see Up Helly Aa!

Highlander · 10/03/2013 21:56

It's all a bit posh. I'm a bit rough, but I always found Orcadians and Shetlanders utterly unintelligable Grin

YouMakeMeWannaLaLa · 10/03/2013 21:57

Awful, turned over.

Slow and confusing; quite an achievement.

The characters had no character (a murder in a remote community and everyone just carries on as normal) and the accents were all wrong.

What a waste, could have been great.

Horsemad · 10/03/2013 22:00

I loved the scenery but think the story is a bit slow.

cocolepew · 10/03/2013 22:00

It's a bit boring...

Roisin · 10/03/2013 22:00

I didn't particularly enjoy it: normally love Douglas Henshall.
Still, solves the clash with David Tennant tomorrow!

MousyMouse · 10/03/2013 22:01

I quite like it so far --but wouldn't be able to distinguish scottish accents.
stunning landscapes.

WitchOfEndor · 10/03/2013 22:02

Bloody hell, just realised I've missed the first one and there's no repeats!

Horsemad · 10/03/2013 22:03

Will it be on iPlayer?

tigerdriverII · 10/03/2013 22:11

I love the books. This wasn't like the books and Douglas h just isn't jimmy Perez. He just isn't!!

They did all seem to have random Scottish accents, I've never been to Shetland or Orkney but I can't imagine they have west Scotland/Glasgow/ western isles accents....

Scenery was good though. I lost the plot early n, or it lost meGrin

JaquelineHyde · 10/03/2013 22:14

I've got it on sky+

Having lived there I can't wait to watch it.

The only thing that has looked authentic so far from the clips is the scenery but I suspect if they had real Shetland accents no one would understand a bloody word that was being said Grin

GeorginaWorsley · 10/03/2013 22:16

Have read the books ,not watched yet but recoeded.
Books great, storylines tweaked a bit though,

Clawdy · 10/03/2013 22:19

Nothing like the books which are really good. Jimmy Perez should be dark and Mediterranean-looking,and he does not have a female sidekick and a teenage (step)daughter. They are trying to make it into a Scottish Wallender and it hasn't worked.

Squirrelface · 10/03/2013 22:21

Was it just me then, who struggled to understand half the dialogue?

Lovely scenery though!
