Is anyone else looking forward to this on Wednesday? I love finding out how they're getting on. I have a real soft spot for Eve, I cried buckets when her mum died Sad. I can't wait to see them as teenagers Grin

I'd almost forgotten about this! I followed it avidly for several years as they were all born around the same time as ds. Will definitely catch up.

dashoflime · 25/02/2013 19:18

Yes! I'd love to watch some of the previous episodes again though. Does anyone know if they're online anywhere?

JulietAndRomeo · 25/02/2013 19:18

When's it on?

I love child of our time. They're almost exactly the same age as DS1.

Oodsigma · 25/02/2013 19:18

I'm looking forward to it. Dd1 is the same age so has been particularly relevant to us.

Alison Lapper was so impressive at a time I was struggling with one dd.

9pm on Wednesday Smile

I'd really like to watch the early ones again. Especially now I have young children myself. I've looked online and I can't find them. I wonder if the BBC would ever show them again. Even if not at prime time, we could record them.

PandaG · 25/02/2013 19:21

ooh yes, me too. DS was born around the turn of the millennium, so I also find it really interesting.

purpleroses · 25/02/2013 19:27

Oh, thanks for posting this :)

Been following it from the start, but didn't know there was a new series this week. My DS is the same age too, and I've loved seeing how their lives all change round each time.

Bonkerz · 25/02/2013 19:35

Love this. DS was born in July 2000 so find myself comparing x

NotGoodNotBad · 25/02/2013 19:44

I've found it frustrating, especially in the early years. DD was born in Jan 2000, and the programmes seemed to be full of "you have a window between 6m old and 9m old when they are particularly receptive to Mozart", and I'd think "Thanks a bunch, missed the chance to try that one!"

Amphitrite · 25/02/2013 19:47

DD2 was born in Feb 2000 so I have always followed this too. Looking forward to catching up again.

strawberrypenguin · 25/02/2013 19:48

Ooh I didn't know this was going to be on, thanks Smile

LeeCoakley · 25/02/2013 19:49

Although I love it, every time it's been on I've dreaded hearing that Shelbie is no longer with us. Anyone know how she is?

Wallison · 25/02/2013 19:49

Thanks for the heads-up. I love this programme!

Thanks, I watched this the first few years, but seem to have missed it the last few years. One of the mums on it was my neighbour across the road when I was a child.

HumanDancer · 25/02/2013 19:52

lee you are thinking of Born to Be Different.

Polgara2 · 25/02/2013 19:52

Dd2 and I looking forward to this as she is a millennium babe as well.

DCIlouisemonroe · 25/02/2013 19:53

I don't think 'Shelbie' was in Child of our time.
Think that was an itv program about children with disabilities.

DeafLeopard · 25/02/2013 19:55

DS is a little older but I love the programme.

According to wiki they haven't done one since 2010.

FaceLikeAPickledOnion · 25/02/2013 19:56

I love this and have set it to record. The last time I watched it was probably around 5 years ago, have they done anymore since then that I've missed? Eve's mum had died on the last series I watched. I cried buckets too :( they only live a few miles away from here.

quirrelquarrel · 25/02/2013 19:57

Thanks for making the thread OP, I'll catch up on 4od/iplayer, whichever it's on. I've found all the clips I can on the internet and watched them, but I didn't watch them as they all came on TV. Glad they're not discontinuing it like the rumours said!

I love the twins, the Scottish ones- bags of character Grin Ivo and Alex?

ThreeBeeOneGee · 25/02/2013 19:58

DS1 was born in Feb 2000, so I've been following it with interest.

FaceLikeAPickledOnion · 25/02/2013 19:59

I've always had a soft spot for Helena :)

FaceLikeAPickledOnion · 25/02/2013 20:01

I was watching cbeebies a few years ago and spotted Alex & Ivor in the balamory nursery!
