whos been watching it, I have been gripped the last few nights.

I'm still trying to work out what luis has done at the start.

oh and id kill. for all the dresses too.

I'm a day behind (and missed the start of ep. 1) but I thought it was great and am a little bit in love with Stanley. Think his name was Matthew Goode - what's he been in before, anyone know?

Wasn't Mel Smith a revelation? Wouldn't have recognised him if I hadn't read his name in a preview. Anthony Head was very suave, wonder if there's something lurking under that smooth demeanour?

The dresses were all to die for I agree. The only exception was the girl who was beaten up - she was practically anorexic so looking at her bare arms was pretty uncomfortable.

Also loved the hair and make up - those immaculate red lips.

Oh my goodness, I am loving this programme! What an amazing twist last night with Julian and obviously the previous Masterson situation, I really didn't see that coming. I think it's going to turn out to be quite dark isn't it.

I'm very much enjoying it too although it's lacking something atm. I think it's just been on a slow burn and there are some interesting characters who are finally being developed. Julian and Masterson is v well done thus far and I like Stanley in particular. I've no idea where it's going actually which is a nice feeling. It feels well done and not contrived.

And I love the costumes!

I am loving this too. And so is DH (which is something of a miracle as he never likes stuff I watch!) Loving the music too.

I recognised Mel Smith and John Goodman, and Matthew Goode has been in a few things including Birdsong if you saw it?

My brothers step daughter is in this prog.She plays the part of Sara , the girl who was in bed with one of the musicians last night. haven't watched it all yet as we taped it.

she has worked very hard to get all the parts she has had.She was also in skins and had a part in merlin..also a small part as one of the dancers in the Black swan,which I haven't seen.I would think last night was very uncomfortable watching for my brother ! But she is only acting.And her ex boyfriend who lives in our town is now with Charlie brooks !

Loving it! I think it's often a slow burn with Poliakoff - I just love the way every shot would make a beautiful photo!

Just so glad to have something of real quality to watch at last on the beeb! Can't wait to see how it turns out...

She is actually painfully thin and is some cause for concern.She does look beautiful but I am used to seeing her in jeans and no makeup ! Her and her ex Bf were at my mums 80th birthday meal.sadly my mum is no longer here but I have all the photos.i will see if I can find photo and put on my profile.

i am having trouble loading photo.i am using two comps .my old one and a new one.I store my pics on an external drive and because i dont yet know how new one works i have plugged ex drive back in to my old one and now i cant load the photo,any idea anyone ? will ask tech for help

I think it all stems from when she was at her drama school.Even when she was bigger she was never fat, she is far too thin now but she is happy as it helps her to get work.its all a crazy world I think. and far too much importance is put on young girls to be thin.but she is a such a hard worker and will fly all over to get an audition for a part.Some she gets ,and of course some she dosent,but I admire her for trying.Its been her dream for many years now.She was the lead role in a prog in USA called jersey girl ,but it was scrapped after only two episodes.Not been shown here but you can find a trailer on You tube.

So at the end of the second episode, was it Julian who did that to Jessie because he seemed to love her so it would be odd as he seemed gentle, or was it his boss, who acted very strangely about Julian going to Paris, or am I being a bit dim?! Bear with me, DS2 (6MO) is unwell and I was trying to placate him whilst watching!

Thanks! I saw the wrecked hotel room, but wasn't sure if it was the boss or not. Makes sense now and the sister (Pamela) was worried about Julian trying to leave. Was he trying to 'escape' Mr Masterson? So Louis will get the blame for hurting Jessie no doubt as he said he would be angry if he found out she was going out and was actually not ill. I love Chiwetel Ejiofor, fab actor and lovely looking.

My understanding is that it was Julian, and that he was responsible for the previous attack that Louis helped him clear up. I think his boss knows about Julian's proclivities and was worried he would attack Jessie, so tried v hard to get him to go to Paris... I think that's right?? It is a little obtuse, but I really like that about Poliakoff, keeps you on your toes.

Am loving this one too... love all the visuals - set, make up, hair, fab dresses. Gorgeous. Love the music too. Can't wait for next one... when is it BTW?

I think it's on again next Monday at 9pm. I love that the BBC have spent time and money on this rather just having two episodes. I want more of these programmes!
